being NEET is just another path. You can drown yourself in doing nothing or in work, same issue. Interacting with people at work is easy, they want something, you do it, you want something, well, you don't ask and do it. Fake to listen to their stories and you are good to go.

My brother makes about 100k but has a wife/kids so it doesn't go too far.

I made 100k one year a couple years ago. I got paid it before taxes, so after taxes I had maybe 70k. That year I put a down payment on a house of 35k so I really only made 35k that year.

I imagine making 100k/year while being single you could live a really nice life.
