What did you put in your hair to make it all stringy?
I tried to use coconut oil for years, but it only made my hair smell of coconuts for a while and my hair is still short.
Afro, I refuse to put anything in it other than shampoo and conditioner because it's gross.

How much matinence would you say goes into your hair daily ? Most every male on my moms side of the family has kinkier hair and I feel like I dodged a bullet since it looks like a lot of work to keep up.

How does black people hair work? How do you take care of it when it grows out into massive clumps of weirdness? I think it can look good when taken care of (like white people's hair) but the whole process of making it look good is a total mystery to me. Anyone care to shed light on it?

not much, wash my hair w/ some selsun blue, then apply castor oil, lob a cap over it.

define "massive clumps" do you mean the weeknd? that doesnt happen unless you let it sit for a WHILE and keep it in place, other wise, you'd pick it out
another style i do. this requires twisting hair, the unntwisting it so its long enugh to be held in bands
