that feeling of your voice being weak and quiet; your words poorly pronounced. the dread and discomfort when entering into conversation. the complete dependence on other people carrying the conversation for you. the pathetic inability to generate any kind of interesting anecdotes about your life - not only because your life is an empty uneventful joke, but because it feels as if you lack the brain capacity to tell a half decent story or converse somewhat competently.
it feels like something utterly irreversible and it reduces you to a cold shell of a person who engages in the minimum perfunctory niceties but who can't make enough connection to even develop acquaintances who you want to talk to and who want to talk to you.
