Cats are the perfect pets for beta orbiters
>useless
>demand attention only when they want it
>no concept of loyalty
>would kill you in a heartbeat if they were bigger
The perfect pet for cucks
These are my kitties. I also have a mini schnauzer :3

this is now a bird thread
I have an ugly little goblin of a dog, a fat old thyroid issues dog who won't let me practice my accordion, cat Albert, the tubbiest blackest dumbest feline in the world, and Butters, who looks and acts like the cats in MAUS

They can sometimes make for decent reaction images.
You best believe i got a pet. Whippet master race.
I spend all day shitposting with my bro on my lap.
I then dress him up in clothing and take him to the park to run around.
I then take a long nap with my bro enjoying cuddles.
Whippets are god tier snooze buddies.

All I want to do is practice accordion and this bastard won't stop howling.
I'll never learn how to play now, fuck this dog.

I want egg laying hens so badly ;_;
But I live in an area where they'd be vulnerable to coyotes and foxes. And potentially wild dogs.
Birds are based desu

I have 2 rat'so lm one has a tumor.

Dig in your fence for a couple of feet underground. Should stop a fox. I'm not very knowledgable on large predators though, since the only pests I have to deal with are rats and lice.
I have 2 puppers,I'd like to have a cat too and maybe a cute bird.
I used to have a budgie that I caught 10 years ago (flew away from some owner). It died in November. Buried her in my backyard.

nah vizsla are my friend you wear those buggers
>>27701355
I dunno. My dad's cousins live in the same town I do, and they're experienced farmers. They took all kinds of precautions to protect their chickens and peacocks, but they still lost them.
I'd prefer to move before putting a bird's life at risk. I don't want to be selfish.

You sound like too much of a pussy to raise chickens anyways
>>27701535
That's possible. I'd just hate myself if I got them, and they died horribly by being eaten alive.
I also am still reeling from a thread that mentioned Tim Treadwell and his gf, who got eaten alive by a bear. That freaked me out a good bit.

Sounds fair, but you should know that when you raise chickens, you're going to have to deal with the surplus roosters as well. If you want to keep your hands clean, don't choose chickens for pets.

I have a part time job at a dairy farm. I come home smelling like cow shit, all of the time. Cleanliness is not the prerogative, though I do scrub myself off well in between shifts.
>>27701747
I don't think he meant that kind of clean, but I could be wrong.
>>27701680
I like the way they sound, and it seems like a good starter instrument.

I implied you have to kill the leftover roosters. Say you have a nest of 10 eggs, 6 are roosters, 4 are hens. Hens can obviously be kept. Roosters can't, since they'll just start fighting each other. Keeping them isolated from one another is not an option, they're pack animals. And nobody wants to buy them from you (except the butcher maybe), since every chicken owner has plenty of roosters himself. So you are probably going to need to kill them. Makes a fine soup though.
As long as the gender can't be selected pre-conception, this is something every owner has to deal with.
The maximum I was able to keep together, without causing constant stress, was three roosters on a group of 12 hens.
