Once upon a time, /r9k/ was more a less a refined, gentleman's /b/. People came here to share humorous greentext stories, make eachother laugh, and make friends.
The "robots" that we think of today, (losers, NEETs, etc) were a very small minority, and their "feels" threads only took up one thread on the front page at any given time. On top of that, the rest of the /r9k/ community despised them.
However, when moot deleted the original /r9k/ (Robot9000), created a bunch of new boards, and then brought /r9k/ back as Robot9001, the oldfags didn't come back with it. Only the feelsfags.
Ever since then, this board has been a cesspool for whiny turds, cuck fetishists, misogynists, and generally delusional, narcissistic faggots.
There has never been another board like the old /r9k/, and I doubt there ever will be. Makes me sad too, because the old /r9k/ was my home board. Feels like I've lost something that most people on this board nowadays wouldn't be able to appreciate.
