Just came back from a psychotherapist. I wasn't diagnosed with anything serious. It's just an adjustment disorder since I've moved to the USA 6 years ago and started having issues with socializing. I don't have a single friend, I have frequent panic attacks in public, my mood is sad and let down 99% of the time, I am a literal copy of Tomoko Kuroki from Watamote in many things including behavior and losing all my spaghetti IRL and on the internet.
And it's somewhat fine. I'm glad I wasn't prescribed any medication.


However, here is the question that has been bothering me: Who are all those Americans who take pills I keep hearing about? Are those just hysterical Staceys who just broke with their bfs? Who is eligible to take such medication? I don't think I understand the purpose of those drugs.

I take Lexapro for generalized anxiety and depression, and keep Xanax around for when I need it.

Xanax is very comforting to have if you have panic attacks in public. You know you've got an instant calming effect in your pocket.
