Is there a genre of music that has the experimental flexibility of electro, the soul of rock and the complexity of classical?
possibly post-rock / math rock, maybe technical death metal if you're into that.
just - radiohead

I like all three, but I'm so sick of the same instruments used in all 3 genres. Regardless of the amplifier, the vocals or the drumset the same "feel" is still there and it's driving me crazy.

hm.. i know what you mean, but i'm drawing a bit of a blank.
i guess if you like heavy electronic music and want something a bit more complex, you could try artists such as Igorrr or Ruby My Dear.
i'm not sure about soul though..

I'll give them a try. Thanks.
But the soul is the most important part for me. It's why I've never been able to enjoy electronic but it all feels so artificial and ingenuine
>soul
This is a meaningless term when used to describe music.
IDM is the genre you want. However you probably have to search a bit before you find something that isnt heavily breakcore influenced

Gas has a shitload of "soul"!

pretty much nails it. igorrr is heavily breakcore-influenced as well but i wouldn't really call it breakcore over experimental music at this point, the guy's insane
