After the normocasualization that came with Portal and Wii and GamerGrrrrl XD streaming, I started to lose interest.

Now with the SJW cultural terrorism and pandering and microtransaction whoring, I just quit permanently.

I might go weeb and see if there's anything there, but the cunts will come for it all eventually and the nu-males will help.

I still enjoy the Souls games, but other than that nothing else really interests me

I will never not enjoy FPS games, I'm somehow insanely good at every one that I play, I had a 3+ k/d in every call of duty game I played, good at csgo, good at tf2, just naturally a beast

20 is about when I stopped enjoying them.
I'm 25 now and I play very rarely these days. I'm definitely not up to date on consoles and games. If I do decide to play a game it's usually a NES or GBA game that I decide to emulate.
>>
>>27676550

I stopped REALLY enjoying them sometime around when Mass Effect 3 came out, only played sporadically after that. I only play Halo 1 or Blur with my dad like once a month now.
>>
I'm starting to lose interest in the games I play now at the age of 23

CK2 is going down the shitter and EUIV is just boring to me; I've more or less lost all confidence in Paradox Interactive and will probably not buy any more of their products.

LoL is finally starting to lose its grasp on me as well but until they gut my last played character I'm probably going to still play it every once in a while

once that happens I'll probably be studying a language very fervently since translating for archaeologists in Turkey could be a pretty stable job in a place I want to go to.

I still enjoy games when the ""depression"" isn't heavy. If I'm in a good mood, some games can be a great time. So many people complain that modern games aren't as good and that's why they can't play anymore. Just go into the ROM thread on /t/ and get yourself all the old stuff you like. I can play my favorite old games ten times and still have fun. I never felt "I already played this! What a waste of time!" and don't understand why that would stop someone from doing something they know they like again.

I only stopped playing capeshit-tier videogames. I still enjoy virtually any GTA game, or some RTS games like Rise of Nations. I just absolutely hate fantasy games, like most RPG and most TPS games. All in all, I like realistic games.
>>
Stopped enjoying last year when I noticed how much of my life I've wasted.

I still enjoy them, even though I don't play them as much as I did a few years back.
Mostly I just want to compose music for video games though. But I've found nobody to hire me yet.

Haven't stopped enjoying or playing, although that probably explains why I'm a 30 yr old khv.

Only game I really play now is smite with some friends, I started playing it about 3 weeks on ps4, and got them to play about a week later. It's really fun right now. About to be playing Battleborn hardcore again this Friday when the beta starts, and the will also be playing dark souls 3 when it releases. But generally 90%+ of the new games that come out seem like they are good, then you get it and play it, and then maybe by a week of playing or so, you realize it actually sucks

Never.

I have online friends with whom I lived IRL for a while and they are still my closest friends.
A few matches on UT3 or Smash rbothers with them make my day.

4chan takes much more time from me than vidya and it has a huge negative effect on me, not only for the waste of time but also because the bitterness and cinism here are bald for my self esteem.

I still play WoT, GTA5, DoA5, Metro 2033/last light, and Operation Flashpoint DR. That's all I can remember but I have over 50+ 360 games and 15 Xbox one games. The wife just got a sticker for the Xbox too.
>>
21. Have not touched steam or vidya in over 7 months. I used to play WoW 10 hours a day and was in a world top 100 guild. It's just changed too much to be enjoyable. I played a Wotlk private server for a year but raiding the same content weekly gets old after a year.

Key and Peele were just generic, lesser versions of Chappelle.

Comedy Central stopped being funny nearly a decade ago, after Chappelle left and Carlos Memecia took the helm.
>>
>>27677679
This.

I listen to more vidya music than I actually play vidya now.

I lost interest in most single player games except the rare indie or old JRPG in college though. I do spend a lot of time streaming pokemon nuzlockes with a longtime friend group on Livestream. I don't see myself quitting completely but only playing socially. I talk to these friends about other things a lot, not just gaming.

I just got a good STEM job though so I'll have shit to do with my life instead of putting minmal effort into passing my last semester of grad school
>>
>>27678407
The people who really end up HATING gaming and militantly shitting on it are usually ex WoW/MMO players who wasted their lives on it

The last "new" game I played that I really enjoyed was Chrono Trigger last summer. Since then, I replayed Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, which are still my all time favorites, then played Soul Blazer (mediocre IMO), Illusion of Gaia (gameplay was decent, I enjoyed the story and aesthetic), and FFIV (got frustrated with the difficulty in the last dungeon; I still beat it, but the grinding soured the experience a little bit) for the first time. Probably gonna play Terranigma next, which I hear is one of the best SNES games.

I still can't into modern gaming, despite only being 19. I've never made it past the 6th gen except for a few games (GTA V, Guitar Hero).
>>

i only play tf2 & gmod surf exclusively
and a bit of sky rim, usually its just me experimenting with mods and not caring mostly about gameplay or story

I never actually stopped liking video games, but unfortunately after becoming a tired wagecuck, my time on drastically decreased. Then once i returned to college, as a full-time student now on top of that, I basically never have enough time to enjoy them.

so, between wagecucking, being a full time student, lack of friends, and lack of money for games, it sucks.

When the games industry stopped making games that I like and started pandering to a bunch of fucking idiots that want PvP pay2win grindfests that are multiplayer only with half a dozen maps and DLC and season passes to get the same kind of content that used to be included in the sticker price. I grew up buying a game, sticking it in the system, and enjoying it in its entirety. No day 1 patches or DLC, no downloads, no bullshit, you just played.

It also doesn't help that immersive single player games are a thing of the past now. All my favorite series are dead. Half Life 3 I have been waiting for like 12 years now. I haven't played a new 2D Metroid since Zero Mission in 2004 and the last 3D Metroid was in 2007. Halo is still around but they fucked with the game mechanics so much it's barely recognizable and the campaign is terribad now. I used to love Halo 1, 2, and 3 to death. They also ruined Bioshock by making shitty sequels for that game that ruined the feel and dumbed down the gameplay.

It's not that I don't have fun with videogames anymore, I just find myself playing the same ones over and over again because I can't find any new games that provide me with what I like... which is sci-fi games with exploration and good atmosphere.

I literally fucking hate this new social media smartphone generation, they have turned every form of entertainment into a convenient microwavable dinner. Easy to get into, entertaining for 5 minutes, then you move on to the next thing. They hate anything that isn't instant gratification, and actively loathe depth and complex storytelling.

I miss getting sucked in for an entire evening, lost in an alien world.

Stopped enjoying them when I was 21 or so.

Still play them at 26 because it's all I know for a hobby. Fuck video games and fuck everyone else who plays them.

I'm 29.

I've been playing video games since I was 3. I have played them almost every day since I started. I have always loved them. They allowed me to escape to worlds I only dreamed of and live experiences I never could have otherwise.

I will never stop loving them. I'm incredible at every genre. I top leaderboards effortlessly and jump between games constantly. I beat games on difficulties I know less than 1% of all people can handle, and when I actually win, I feel exhilarated. I play games with my wife, and have introduced her to dozens of co-op games I've played throughout my life. She gets so impressed from my knowledgeable taste, from me giving her all the prizes when we play together (I don't need the help) and from performing feats she couldn't imagine, it frequently gets her wet and leads to passionate sex. Playing games together has deeply cemented our bond/love for each other, and is one of the foundations of our relationship. I have never sold a game back after I buy them, so I literally have 100s to choose from, spanning every generation from NES to modern, sitting on a couple book shelves.

I don't know what everyone's problem is with modern games. I love my retros and I still play them, but modern games are significantly better than them in almost every single way. If you don't think that, then you have shit taste, and continuously buy shit games without putting the slightest bit of effort into finding out what games are actually good.

Fuck do I love video games. I think I'm going to go play some right now. Fuck everyone in this thread who hates video games.
