The military is a living hell for Robots. It isn't fighting, I never got close to any fighting and would not have been bothered by it if I had.
The problem is you are living with people all the fucking time, you work together, eat together, socialize together. During basic and when deployed you even share rooms and sleep together. If you are not very sociable then everyone thinks you are weird and rips on you all day.
I think the military would be OK if you were a NEET without any sociability problems, but if you are a typical Robot NEET you should avoid it.

People in the military dont just kill themselves because of combat trauma.
Firstly, many people joining the military are failures to begin with. Add in a long time away from home (even soldiers at home are sometimes on training exercises 6 months out of the year) cheating spouses, sucking at their job, home life falling apart. Plus the fact alot of them drink, use steroids, abuse drugs and so on.
You end up with a big pool of class A fuck ups in a high pressure and unforgiving lifestyle. Suicides galore
Tbh its hard to feel sorry for them. So many fatass, manlet, wannabe, dumb, fuck ups from my high school joined the military and as soon as they get a uniform they think they are the man and act like top shit.
This one guy I know that used to give me a hard time in 8th grade is in the military and his stacy GF leaves him every couple of months to date one of his army buddies (yes, his friends) and then picks back up with him after a few weeks. Shes done that like 5 times now and this guy has bought her several trips overseas and she now lives with him, would love to know how much of the bills she is contributing to.

One of my friends is in the army. After he finished all his training and everything he was deployed to a base in some shithole country I can't remember. Basically all he does is wake up, go do the physical training with everyone else, then do his assigned job which is weapons maintenance. Then after that he is relieved by someone else and spends the rest of his time drinking at the arcade/bar they have set up there on the base or plays on his own PS4/desktop PC in his room. It seems really easy and a comfortable living. You just have to sacrifice a lot of freedom for it.
