So I've been hit with anti-smoking shit almost since my birth. I've never once been told why people smoke besides addiction. So can someone tell me what the intended effect of cigarettes is? Do you get high? I really don't know and I've never been told.
Because I can't stand the thought of being a nonsmoker.

The first few times you can get a buzz from the nicotine which makes you dizzy.
I smoked a couple packs over the past 3 months. Honestly I get too much anxiety going into the store asking for smokes so fuck that shit. It's nice but I didn't find them addicting. Not worth it anyway

There relaxing, I've smoked on off my whole life never felt addicted. I used to smoke alot at work during breaks at one job. I always smoke when I drink. I smoke socially. Now I'm back smoking instead of eating to lose weight.

At first they make you lightheaded and kind of nauseous, afterward a few times it'll be milder and feel good. More than anything, it's just something to do to help clear your mind. When you're addicted though, you literally feel "hungry" for a cigarette every hour or two which is often why people will be constantly eating when they quit.

For me, smoking makes me calm when going somewhere public. I have severe anxiety and smoking helps. What I don't know is that I'm not addicted. Maybe because I trained myself not to smoke everyday.
