What do you guys think about afterlife?
I'm not very religious, so I don't believe in things like heaven, hell or reincarnation. Alas, thinking about the nothingness is actually pretty fucking scary.
But I have a feeling that diying is not the end. I think that in the future we will figure out how to not die of old age and, later on, learn how to bring dead bodies back to life. First whole bodies with brains, like the cryogenized people, then remains, and eventually with only DNA.
I believe that technology will advance so much, that diying would be only a long sleep, and that we all will be brought back to life, by other humans or by another race. A race that will be able to scan the whole earth and recreate a person from a single fragment of DNA. Whether we retain our memories or not is up for debate. But I'm getting more and more this ideia that after I die I'll just wake up in some chamber, or something. Either to be reunited with everyone I know and live nicely, or to be slaved and suffer. That's almost like the ideia of heaven or hell though, rofl.

I like to think that, the afterlife is what you make it to be. If your version of it is sunny and nice, or hellish and fury, then it will, and eventually you will fade away, kind of like falling asleep, to nothing.
