It is pretty easy to get it prescribed online, it is a big business drug so they have a whole system set up where you fill out an online form, they get a doctor to give you a prescription online and then they send you the pills.
Some places will let you pick them up in person, if you live in a big city then you can probably do that.
If you are getting finasteride then get rogaine foam/spray and nizoral shampoo as well. It makes the treatment much more likely to succeed.
Rogaine increases blood flow on your scalp which keeps your hair follicles healthy. It is clinically proven to help keep hair and has no side effects, using it in combination with finasteride makes treatment much more effective.
Nizoral shampoo is a testosterone block which also blocks DHT. It is safe to use because it is only applied locally on your scalp and wont fuck up your hormones. It isn't that effective but it is cheap and you only have to use it twice a week. If you are doing everything else you should use it as well.

I'm baldning, and started using minoxidil about 2 months ago. Combined with this I also massage my head daily using a mix of castor and tea tree oil. It works. Anons, it really works. I've noticed re-growth in places where I haven't had hair for years.
I've also noticed that using a volumizing schampoo, but one without silk, combined with occasionally washing my hair with black tea has also made my hair much thicker and vibrant. The black tea has also subtly darkened it, and removed all greys.
