dude, you'll come to realise that you've grown up in a bubble where schools, family, etc. all set up these high expectations for you that you have to go to college and get pursue some super sought over career paths that brings in the big bucks. But in reality this just isnt the case. And this is all before you really start to understand "you", what your passion is, what you wanna do with your life. I think the whole system is messed up, thrusting young people straight into uni, expecting them to achiever a certain level of success. If you're still young, don't be afraid to just say "no" and give yourself some more time to think over things. 'cause honestly, what's the big rush? Get an entry level job some where to pay the pills and to just generally get along. You'll become more defined as a person, learn life lessons, meet people, etc. From there you'll start to understand what makes you tick, and you can then start to look into different alternatives that are best suited for you personally.

Unless you're already 25+ years old, then you;re fucked. Just always try to keep moving forward with your life, never get too comfortable in one position. There's opportunities all around you, but you actually have to get started first and take them.

I can't either. I'm just taking a joyride before becoming a hobo.

Go to trade school

Fix cars, HVAC, or be a plumber

Rip people off for insane amounts of money and make your own hours because nobody knows how to do shit anymore they all think they're gonna be lawyers or veterinarians

I don't even hate school I just can't do it right now. I'm waiting for my appointment with a psychiatrist to happen so I can get medicated and get better. But I'm still two weeks away from that, and it might be another few months until I can get a prescription.

I fucking hate healthcare in this country. Not because it costs money, but because just trying to book an in-network doctor is such a fucking pain. Out of the 12ish local local doctors listed on my insurer's website, four of them are retired, five don't do adults and the rest are all booked back to June.

You just inadvertently destroyed me. Holy fuck, how can I honestly do anything but fucking kill myself?

My palms are sweating like crazy as I type this.

I don't even know how I ended up like this.

It means that if you're over 25 and you haven't started doing anything, it's already too late to live a life worth living.
>>
>>27653131
well im on a self journey to learn 3D and animation, im already 1 year in

If it makes you feel any better I didn't get my first job until 24, about to get my worthless AA at 25. Better late than never. If you're 25 or older you really need to get on your shirt before its too late for real. Right now you're a little behind but with hard work you can make it up.

fixing your life becomes more difficult once you turn 30

don't ask how I know

Yeah I meant like, say you finish high school/mandatory education at 18, those 18-25 years are the "time to figure out what to do with my life". You NEED to start just doing "things", whatever it may be. Just start checking things off, build your CV, etc. You can kinda abuse the "oh I'm having some time to find myself, oh im a later bloomer :)" excuse too easily, but literally doing ANYTHING more productive that sitting on your ass all day is at least something that builds yourself as a person, makes you more desirable, etc.

its pretty tough famalam, best thing you can do is quick get a minimum wage job for a month/sell everything you own to buy a cheap handgun and an hero.

On a semi-related note, I myself have just obtained a job
>>
Sitting in community college right now and want to quit this hell hole. I think its unecessary to take these mandatory gen ed classes that dont teach u shit and even some of the career path classes dont teach me shit i want to know. Fuck this waste of time, i work 4 days, go to school 3 days, wake up at 7:20 everyday. Slaving away my life to the expectations system while i have no time for my productive hobby i want to make into a future job, but its so unrealistic that ill be the next metro boomin or some shit
>>
>>27653221
I have to ask though. My 20's were rough, and for awhile I felt like there was no hope but I turned 30 a short time ago and now I think maybe I can still find a way to be happy. My brother went back to college and turned his life around at 30. I might be able to as well. Certainly you should have more fiscal resources at that age, if nothing else. Although the dating pool gets a little shallow if you haven't found someone by then. So what killed it for you at 30? Didn't you feel like things were starting to mellow out by then?
>>
>>27653407

I didn't say it was impossible, just that at 30 you can't stay up all night like you can at 20 (among other things).
>>
>>27653510
So you're tired a lot more? I thought it was just me. I still stay up late often, but I can't pull the all-nighters like I used to.
>>
>>27653000
Wise words famalam. You still going OP? You've got time, time to get started. It's daunting, but...
