What animes do robots like? I like slice of life. You guys?
I also like SOL
cute girls doing cute things is extremely soothing and comfy
I also like more normalfag kinda shit aswell
>Tfw don't have motivation after getting the post-anime blues too many times
Never been able to get into anime. I find western animation is loke dogs while anime is akin to cats: the former is very literal in and-your-face while the latter is more subtle and hard to get a read on.
I find slice of life the best since it often deals with a lot of more realistic things even though they could be mundane things. Even just simple things like Yui taking on both the towns talent show to show her neighbor granny her progress with learning music since she has only received from her while trying to balance studying for her tests was great. Instead of being the typical airhead she was she was thinking of others around her.
It doesn't have to be Earth shattering at all, but they are all nice instead of something over dramatic.
I've been watching Aria
This is top tier SOL
I find most anime super pandering and garbage, but the ones I do like mostly include mechas and experimental animes. Ones that break the mold and actively try to avoid tropes. Most still have tropes, but at least it isn't as blatant.
Baccanno I liked.
Honestly I don't watch much anime because most of them trigger me first episode. I can't really handle "cute girls doing cute things uguu~" and the like. Its just all so uninteresting and it feels like my intelligence is being insulted.
That being said I do enjoy the occasional stupid shonen like one piece.
Only people without a live of their own like slice of life bullshit.
It's the best way to blacklist anime.

*Without a life of their own.
Fuck me hard, originality robot.

As hard as I try I can't enjoy actual anime, it's just way too cliched/full of tropes to the point that I feel horribly bored and even sort of irritated watching it.
I really like surreal humor. Like nichijou

Nichijou a best
Corey in the house

>unironically liking the most cancerous anime genre ever conceived in the history of animes existence.
I like "stuck in a strange world" style animes, or generally things that put a normal protagonist into extraordinary situations, or an extraordinary protagonist in a normal situation. Sci-fi mecha, fantasy and action in general work just fine. Eg Hellsing, Full Metal Panic, Code Geass and The Devil is a Part Timer
Yes, i am also one of those fags that have enjoyed the "transported into a video game" genre that has been so popular recently. However I much prefer Log Horizon, Overlord, Accel World and No Game No Life (in that order) over Sword Art Online. Log Horizon especially, the political aspect with former NPCs was super intriguing and seeing the conflict of morals that the superhuman players have to contend with in the new world.
Ones that have a normal protagonist and some sort of supernatural outsider are fun, especially if the true nature of the character is being hidden from the others and seeing the reactions as they discover the truth. Eg Ah! My Goddess, Heavens Lost Property and Fate Stay Night
Also, "wacky hand picked crew of special vehicle go on adventures", exemplified in titles such as Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Macross Frontier, Aldnoah Zero and Black Lagoon.
Satire and anime that provides twists on established formula is also something i love, like One Punch Man or Ouran High School Host Club.
That's the general gist of my tastes anyway.
I hate about 90% of anime because of its not shit already the writers try wayyyyyyyyy too hard to make their ending "artsy" and "different" but ultimately end up making a very boring and lazy ending that doesn't achieve anything and doesn't make you think. Anime is mass produced and lazy. The entire industry is mostly formula based cookie cutter shit tier garbage. The endings never feel satisfying and the buildup is almost non existent.
On that note I actually watch a lot of anime because when I do find a show I like it's usually really really good. I usually tell this too people who don't know much about anime and I let them know that you have to have your own tastes and that not all anime is the same.
>>27649472
I like when there're demons or super robots (Devilman, Berserk, Gundam, etc)
>>27651447
Hell yeah it is. Nichijou is original like this post.
>>27651687
Confirmed for shit taste. postpostpost
I love a bleach and attak the titan
Watamote is so good that I can't enjoy anything else.
I can't relate to anything as much as to Watamote.

SOL are awesome, I met my waifu there. OP has a pic of her.

Watch Erased.

only the first half. it turns to shit in the end.
I've mainly only watched one animu: Death Note.
It was good as somebody had suggested, and I really liked the early episodes. I'd probably be open to watching other anime, but I'm still at entry level and I don't know where to go from here. Any ideas?
>>27654217
try, there is a mystery element and supernatural element in it

see the thing about SAO is its not really about the video game part, it could have very well worked just as medieval fantasy
>>27649674
You shouldn't think this way. It's a tv show, you don't have to critically think about it. It's just fun.
the only slice of life I enjoyed were azumanga daioh and k-on *shrugs*
>>27654217
Hellsing Ultimate. It has a great English dub too(most anime has shit dubs and is better watched with subs)
Love Live desu!

Fuck off and kill yourself you disgusting teenager.
I recommend for robots
>Watamote(anime+manga)
>Jojo's bizarre adventure(manga)
>Welcome to the NHK(anime)
>Tatami galaxy(anime)
I can't enjoy modern anime except for those on this list
Bonus:
>If you were the class clown in high school read boku no hero academia All Might is very relatable and might be the only reason I'm reading
>>27655949
My nigga. Though I'm a Hanayo man myself.
>>27656094
Piss off back to MAL, normalfag.
Ironically and unironically Welcome to the NHK is my favorite anime, it can make me feel great one moment and trash the other.
Other than that, it's usually some light-hearted stuff
>>27649472
SoL master race reporting in as well.
>>27656128
That cliff scene crushed me man
>>27656120
Fuck you
>>27649472
I've gotten tired of slice of life anime and dont watch them as much as I use to . If im in a bad mood I might watch some edgy shonen to vent
I don't really like anime anymore and only watch adaptations of stuff I have already read (currently watching Diamond Is Unbreakable and Ushio And Tora). After the Giant Robo OVAs all anime pale in comparison so no point watching them. The last thing I watched which wasn't a manga adaptation was Space Dandy which was really good actually, OST in particular was amazing.
My favourite kind of manga are delinquent manga, shit like Crows, Worst, Rokudenashi Blues, Rookies, GTO, Shonan Junai Gumi, Clover, QP, Bakuon Rettou, Sakigake Otokojuku, Kyou Kara Ore Wa, Holyland, Gokusen etc.
>tfw a lot of the good stuff will remain untranslated forever
>>27656027
Patlabor is great, the rest is just normalfag stuff
>>27656168
>>27656128
if you like the NHK anime, read the manga as well. The story goes much deeper than in the anime, as well as dealing with darker themes.
also pic related
>>27656128
The manga adaptation of the light novel is a lot more brutal in terms of circumstance Satou goes through, but the music in the anime adaptation can be like daggers through your fucking chest at times.

Volume 6 should be arriving in the post sometime next week. It's such a cute read.
>>27656168
No really fuck off you goddamn pleb. Your "recs" are entirely inconsistent and cliche.
Seriously, fuck off back to MAL you got damn teenager.
Apart from adventure anime in fantastical settings I don't have any particular preference in genre. I do have varying levels of tolerance for the cliches of various genres. My tolerance levels for romance and shounen are very low. I can't stand the lack of progress when the ending is so obvious. Oddly I can tolerate that kind of meandering in SoL. Maybe it is because that is the point.
>>27656239
Regardless of normal fags enjoying it, Monogatari, Eva and Death Parade are very good anime.
Let me guess.
You didn't like Yamato's 2199 remake?
