Should I make a real life friend?
There's this guy I met in the psych ward who's 27, depressed, autistic and has no friends but is really knowledgeable on a variety of subjects and we talked about academic stuff. His mother is really nice and seems to baby him.
I'm not sure I'm ready for this level of commitment. I haven't had IRL friends since high school.

Are we talking more Aspberger's level? Aspies make pretty decent friends. Have one I watch a new sci-fi movie with every week.
If you're a roastie I would stay away though. A depressed dude with no friends is probably going to latch on to you for dear life and fall in love.
