There's are different kinds of empathy. Cognitive empathy is being able to detect and understand other people's emotions (this is where aspies fail) while affective empathy is actually feeling it yourself (where psychopaths fail).

Also, I think you're thinking of sociopathy is a mental disorder while anon is using it to describe people who behave in an antisocial manner.
