Not that learning isn't worthwhile. But most teachers are phoning it in and even the ones who aren't tend to use methods that don't properly demonstrate your comprehension of a subject.
Only enter into classes you are interested in or with teachers who really care about their subjects because they can make it entertaining and watch your GPA rise.

I've never met an artist who needed to go to art school. Art schools can make you an artist if you aren't already one but for a few thousand years there was no" art school" in any sort of the capacity we have today which just churns them out.
For whatever art form it was the art sprang from a community of people interested in a craft and sharing their work between them learning from each other. That sort of competition and inspiration brings out the best work.

A good GPA does require effort.
But it has no relation to how smart a person is or even what they learned. All it demonstrates is your ability to complete a task in the specific way that a professor has decided. Not the best way. Just the way the caters most to that person's tastes. Not true for all teachers but true for the majority. I have watched geniuses flunk out and fucking retards get 4.0s.
An education is probably one of the most important things in the world to get.
But a high GPA is not equivalent to being well educated.

But I am not NEET and I did well in high school. I was on the honor roll. Not that being on honor roll fucking means anything. There were plenty of fucking idiots in my advanced classes.
But I am just going to school more because that is what I am good at I am not doing shit. I dunno what I want to do with my life.
On the other hand my older brother practically dropped out of high school and he is the smartest dude I know. He had a shitty job at comcast and then wallmart for a long time. Probably like five years. But he has an IQ of like 140 and now is in his final year of law school because he decided he liked law. He is gonna make more than I ever will. I didn't think he was stupid at any point in that time though I have probably learned more from him than I have anyone else in my life.
You sound like one of those kids who needs to cling to the fact that he did well academically and that's all he ever managed accomplish. Lots of kids were like that. I hope you find more meaning in life.
I have a friend in a programming job who graduated with a 2.3. It may make you have to work a first job at crappier pay when you get out, but you'll still be able to get one depending on your major. Also, after the first job no one checks that shit ever again.

I work on a fishing vessel in Alaska in the summer. I have good work ethic, but when it comes to school, just putting in the effort is incredibly arduous.
