Why do people automatically associate swords with autism? I have a vast sword collection, mostly Asian and Old Norse blades which seem to be the main issues, and I don't understand how this makes me autistic. I'm a virgin, yes, but swords actually make me MORE likely to get laid. I have had countless conversations with cute, cute girls in my classes about the weapons I own. I have been able to speak to women for the first time because they want to know about my Viking Sword, or my latest Bamboo handled Katana. I dream of meeting a girl called Anya so I can say "I own a Katana but l want a cute Anya", that is when I will lose my virginity. But I'm not autistic. I buy these swords to use as often as I can. I have many friends.
>>
>>27618715
Owning a sword is cool and all, but using it's a little strange. Don't be the kid who brags about his katana skills.
>>
>>27618715
Because edgelords and people who try too hard to be hardcore. Swords are pretty cool. I only have two el cheapo decoration ones, and one bokken which is probably no better

Deal with it dude, it's not the autistic hobby you thought it was in your hugbox--it's the real deal. Girls are predisposed to get wet for men who have a taste for steel. It's just basic biology.
>>
If anyone here is actually interested in buying authentic swords I usually just send them here.
http://www.chenessinc.com/maru.htm
>>
I don't know that this is a thing at all. And I can't really believe that it increases your chances of getting laid.
>>
I've been meaning to buy some swords for years. I don't have any yet, but I do have a small collection of knives and machetes. Including a handmade Bhutanese machete that was made on the National Mall.
>>
The autism (if autism even exists) comes in when you ignore the fact that swords are lethal weapons. The same can be said to the normalfags who end up buying one and then end up seriously injuring someone doing a stupid ass trick while drunk.

Some of the greatest street fighters in history used swords, were they "autistic"?

Well considering they lived at a time when carrying a sword was normal, so no. But sword collecting, like having model trains, isn't inherently autistic, but it sets off some red flags.

I'd own a few swords just to own them if I could, but it'd be weird as fuck to.

Weird shit that I personally associate with autism:
>trains
>WWII trivia
>Sonic the Hedgehog
>Spyro the Dragon
>Poke'mon
>Fire Emblem
>fat dudes in khaki shorts
>Youtube poops
>that one girl with the dyed hair and the Hot Topic armbands who wants to show you her latest Invader Zim fanfic and some stupid LOLSORANDUM youtube video
>weeaboos
>tard strength
>engineer or software developer in family
>Sesame Street
>"late-bloomer"

Shit I consciously associate with autism because it's an actual sign of it or of something comorbid with it:
>toe-walking, particularly bouncy toe-walking
>rocking back and forth, flapping hands, pacing, other stims
>the tendency to just rant at people about their particular interests and not sense that the audience is disinterested
>obsessive-compulsive traits
>the tendency to consume, organize, and repeat trivia about particular topics
>total obsession with one thing, or a changing obsession with the collection of trivia related to that thing
>verbal tics, repeating things people have said, repeating things from media
>person has synesthesia, especially multiple-synesthesia
>person is way fucking sensitive to being touched or to light touch, fabric, and textures in general (food, clothing)
>lack of eye contact
>general social awkwardness
>being a "space cadet" or "off in their own world"
>person is way fucking sensitive to sound or responds strangely to noise; has trigger sounds
>hypersensitivity to light touch but fine with firm, expected pressure

TFW I'm currently lying under a weighted blanket and chewing on a Chewigem

Things I don't know what they are that are on your list:
>person has synesthesia, especially multiple-synesthesia
What does this mean?
>>
>>27622384
Same. That's part of why I included it. You know the best part about being an aspie with an aspie girlfriend? She knows about the light touch thing and doesn't fucking ruin your blowjob.

Seriously though, that light hand on your shoulder? From behind? That's not quite a pat and not quite a tracing/stroking motion? Fuck that. I swear to God I've sensed people walking up behind me and recoiled preemptively just to avoid that. And holding hands to pray? The way people just trace or brush your hand with their fingers? Fuck that shit. Clutch me.

>Honestly i'd be less stressed if someone kicked me.
This is half the reason I like people who are rough more than I like people who are touchy and delicate. Pain at least doesn't short-circuit my brain.

>>27622415

>>27622447
I dunno. Some of the coolest dudes I've known have fit a fuckton of those traits, which is why I remembered them enough to include them. Not gonna lie, though, sperg that hard, you're gonna have a rough time.

>>27622464
What's a chewigem?

>What does this mean?
Basically, a concept or a sense is wired to another sense or concept in your brain. Letters or numbers or music has color, words can be tasted, times and dates can be organized visually or spatially (as in you actually "see" time that way), shit like that. It's more common in people with autism, likely as a result of the neural connections involved being there from the same lack of pruning that might cause autism.

It sorta just goes along with the fact that autists often process things, in a sensory sense, very differently. Sensory Processing Disorder isn't uncommon among aspies.

I stim a bit when alone, I have a couple of stimming things in my desk drawers. I obsess over lots of things but generally know not to bug people about them unless directly asked or I pretend I don't know as much as much stupid shit as I do about whatever.
I just learned to overcompensate a lot and drink some booze if I need a little help before I go out with friends so I'm less quiet and potentially awkward.
A week or so ago a couple of my friends were talking about someone they know with autism and said they felt kind of bad about making tard jokes near him. They didn't even glance at me while agreeing it would be too awkward to apologize. Have I succeeded?

I got mine from Sensory Goods. My only regret is not getting one years ago. I also got a 7lbs weighted lap pad that I place on my torso for extra weight when I want it. My weighted blanket is 17lbs. I went with their sale option which saves a bunch of money (you just don't get to chose the pattern). The pattern I got I actually like a lot more than any of the ones they were offering as choices.
I also want to get one of their weighted teddy bears at some point.

>what you've done there is put a blunt bit of thin metal on a handle and tried to put an edge on it

First off, I did not make it. A Bhutanese man made it by hand.

Secondly, it is not blunt at all, it is razor sharp.

Thirdly, It is not thin at all. It is about half an inch thick along it's spine and has a relatively even angle to the edge.

The jealousy tastes soo good.

I'm not the guy you were replying to, but to be fair most modern knives and swords are made by grinding or sanding down blunt blocks of prefabricated steel.

You're not legally autistic, because you are undiagnosed.

Doesn't mean you haven't got the 'tism. Just means you're high functioning enough to avoid the head doctors.
