I's easier to see everything in black and white, see all black/non-white people (men in particular) as evil, than it is to consider that perhaps there's a broad spectrum of personalities among non-whites as there are among whites. This requires a certain sense of empathy and allround ability to see things from other people's perspectives though, something that seems to seriously lack within a fair amount of robots/people.

It's easier to disregard or hate a whole group than it is to consider that a set of stereotypes doesn't cover every single person within said group.
It's easier to blindly think in extremes than to think in moderation; takes a lot less effort and it's easier to direct hatred and resentment towards whole groups than it is to individuals.
