That doesn't make you below average. I'm 27, have a 1st class bachelor's degree (4.0 gpa for Americans), a distinction at master's degree, but live with my dad and work a shitty job. I'm probably more intelligent than 95%+ of the population, I just have shitty social skills (shit parents growing up, raised a Jehovah's Witless, isolated from peers as a child/was not allowed to date).

At least a little bit. I've also never been able to let go of my dreams no matter how unlikely they are to occur, and I still beat myself up over failing to achieve them.
But working a mcjob seems so degrading; at least there's some dignity in homelessness.
