What does it mean to be charming? I've been called that quite a few times in my life, but what does it MEAN?

Charming is someone that can incite joy and fuzzy feelings into others, cast a spell on them if you will. Charming people have a way of "casting a spell" on people. Being charming is one of the most attractive qualities someone can have.
I can be charming but I can never, ever keep it. I don't pretend I'm someone I'm not. Still stings every single time I sense someone losing their shine for me though.
I'm kind of conjecturing but that's the best way I know to describe it.
