But I guess his brother isn't the only person working on cancer cures, and in this hypothetical - he's not the only person who can. Plus there's no information on whether the dictator will be benevolent or not. However we have nugget horses, a wildly rare and on the brink of extinction creature, we do not yet know the impact their deaths will have on the ecosystems around it and the environment at large. What if they're as valuable to our food chain as bees? Losing those nugget horses could be the worst thing ever, and billions of people could die at the cost of saving 5 kids from being molested.
In the scenario that nugget horses are as valuable to our food supply as bees, and in full knowledge of the abuse the children would face, I would still want the nugget horse tendee to survive.
