The game isn't as hard as its reputation suggests, you just have to have patience and play very carefully, it doesn't require ridiculous reflexes or knowledge.
>>
>>27600255
>you just have to have patience and play very carefully

so much this, there are a few legitimately hard things in the game but 99% of the people who talk about the difficulty have run into enemies, expected to be able to mash away and kill them and gotten their shit pushed in, play carefully, slowly, analyse your surroundings, the level design is superb and if you're paying attention and looking out, you'll see warnings of things to come, hidden paths and weapons/armour as a reward
>>
>>27600255
>>27600291
Okay. I'll keep in mind: patience and cautiousness. I've read that the weapon/armour ratings and info is quite obtuse as well. Guess I'll just have to find a guide to refer to if I struggle with that.
>>
>>27600327
armour is pretty superficial really mate, you're gonna die in a few hits from almost anything. keep your shield up and be cautious. you'll enjoy it.
>>
>>27600327
the weapon and armour stuff isnt really that hard to get, the only things ill say to you is try not to look anything up about the game, go into things from now blind, upgrade your weapons over leveling up, upgrading your armour and upgrading your shield, the order should be weapon>levelup>shield>armour in terms of what you should be doing upgrading/leveling, if you cant upgrade a weapon, go for levels, or change weapons, experiment with weapons you like to find one which you like, pretty much all weapons are viable, class choice at the start of the game pretty much doesn't matter, so pick what you want, don't worry about picking the "right" starting gift on your first time, pick what you want, finally, never, ever put points into resistance when you level up
>>

Ok, looks like damage and speed are more valuable than trying to protect yourself from damage. Thanks for the tips about upgrade choices.

I'm trying to go in a bit blind in terms of the story and everything. Not that it bothers me too much. The reason I'm so interested is because I watched quite a few Bloodborne streams when it came out and the entire lore and everything for that looked fascinating. Dark Souls looks sufficiently similar for me to check it out.
>>
>>27600456
in my opinion, my rating for the souls games would go das1>des=bb>das2
>>
>>27600456
>Ok, looks like damage and speed are more valuable than trying to protect yourself from damage.

Thats true in bloodborne, In DS1 its about timing so you can try to be quick and such but you can also wait for their animation to start and use a quick attack to stun them or dodge at the right time.

Using a sheild allows you to block attacks and gives a little breathing space

Had a pleasant experience last night lads. I went to my aunt's house for a little party and tried a bunch of different cheeses while I was drunk.

I have never been a cheese person, I always look at cheeses, smell them and think "why the fuck would anybody want that anywhere near their mouth?". Anyway after a while a few people were like "Go on, just try it" and I eventually caved and said "Fine, if it will get you to leave me alone"

An hour later I had demolished a big stack of those wafer cracker things on my ownwith different cheeses on top, all of them were very nice but I can't remember most of their names, there was about 10 different ones.

Went to the shop there and now I'm tucking into some camembert and also some Wensleydale with cranberries on a comfy Sunday afternoon. I was going to get some blue cheese but I thought I'd just play it safe for now until I find out which ones I ate at the party.

Thanks for reading my little blog fuccbois, I like cheese now

Sargon of Akkad (otherwise known as Carl Benjamin) is a fat MRA alcoholic who loves to see women cry, probably why he is a notorious wife-beater, and doesn't give a shit if children get raped by sand niggers. Someone who was so egotistical that he named himself after someone who founded an entire fucking dynasty and empire, Carl has become the main figurehead with 250k+ subs in a 'New Wave' of parasitic YouTube Ranters who like to circlejerk each other off to videos that disagree with their ideological world view by splicing in their snarky 'rebuttals' bearing their severe autism over a microphone or camera, for their audience to groupthink themselves into self-delusion as 'intellectually superior'.

The ultimate case study has shown that the dumbest, most obese Americunts will believe anything you tell them, provided it comes from someone with an English accent (because dem limeys are smart people, y'all, Ah'll tell yer huhwut!), Sargon of Akkad records his TL;DW videos with a tinfoil hat on and does "research" by looking shit up on Google and Wikipedia (he gets paid to do it, by the way) and then coming to the conclusion that everything is part of a government, feminist conspiracy. Occasionally he invites feminists hoebags to his "show" and has his ass handed to him by them, because having an actual debate with a real life person is considerably harder than finding a YouTube video you disagree with, pausing said YouTube video and then talking down to it, as if you expect it to answer back; either that, or he engages in circlejerks with his e-celeb friends that can sometimes last up to six hours.

When he isn't making videos about how the social justice warriors is out to get him, he makes a weekly video where he reads internet articles and then yells at them. Seriously, about 90% of his videos are just him reading some boring news article or watching a video and basically going, "Pffft, well, THAT'S stupid." Sargon likes to cultivate an aura of being a learned renaissance man, expert in numerous topics from science to politics to history, but he is, in actual fact, a high school dropout who never attended college and has no formal qualifications. Most of his videos are riddled with inaccuracies, particularly his videos about history - a topic he seems to have learned about mainly through playing Medieval Total War and Warhammer. Since he has literally nothing better to do, Sargon has made YouTube his full time career, as well as he has made several YouTube videos about shit no one cares about, meaning that he is guaranteed to start showing up in your YouTube recommendations if you watch even a single one of his videos, no matter how many times you tell YouTube that you're not interested in his bullshit. Seriously, he will never go away. It's like a fucking plague of smug, self-proclaimed fedora tier "logic".
>>
>>27600456
bloodborne is a really different game to be fair. it's a lot faster and based on interruptions and aggression. it rewards playing fairly dangerously. dark souls rewards pragmatism and encourages you to be intelligent and manage each fight carefully. don't worry about the story and try to look up as little as possible because a lot of the fun is derived from working out and overcoming challenges yourself
even if you look it all up, you still have to actually execute the moves to finish the game. you'll enjoy yourself

Entire world is dominated by American economy, media and culture. Unfortunately Germanic influence on world affairs is stronger than it ever has been. Add to that the fact that Germany pretty much dictate the EU.

Wish I could stop being so childish. Need to stop playing vidya and start filming women when they are on the loo, this is definitely the key to functioning in adult society.
>>
>>27602251
Not so sure about that. Much of the enlightened thinking of northern Europe was rediscovered from ancient Mediterranean civilisations. The US, Britain and Germany have all borrowed heavily from their subjects/slaves when it comes to technological and cultural advancement.

The Germanic mind can only see the world in terms of conquering and destroying, it has no creative streak.

Basically sheer luck. They are just an average midtable side who happen to have got lucky on so many occasions this season that they are somehow on top, and all their rivals are bottlers as well.

For fucks sake, Southampton. Arsenal literally don't have a hope anymore.

Those other alternatives further degrade your mental well being though lad. Try and get better. Applying for jobs is more positive.

Pretty much, yeah. Only team that can realistically stop them now is Tottenham, and they're perennial bottlers.
>>
>>27602304
you're speaking in very broad strokes. What I'm saying is that, for example, in the british empire, when it colonised countries, it may have taken control by force but it also would have aided the civilisation in many ways such as the building of hospitals and education, enforcement of civil law ect. Sure, it's true that it had many slaves-but so did many other cultures at that time-it was a norm. The fruits of the industrial revolution was the increase in living standards and this can be seen all over the world.

>>
>>27602446
Technological progress is pretty inevitable though. Doesn't really matter who they were colonised by, most African countries right now have a pretty similar state of development, largely based on the geography of the country.

For example, Thailand isn't significantly different from it's neighbors that were colonised. These countries didn't need empire to progress technologically.
>>
>>27602484
Yeah, think Mahrez is the only player who is genuine class, the rest are just chancers really. Especially Vardy.

perhaps but you have to admit that it was very much accellerated by colonisation. Some cultures just seem to stagnate-hence all the poverty ridden destitute nations which still exist. I would also argue that the ideas and technolgy could have been passed on to neighboring countries that were not themselves colonised.

yeah well I literally can't express how much better my life has been since I attended Oxford. I went to a state school and gradually became the stereotypical moody, withdrawn sensitive type who both despises the quality of his immediate culture and feels a weird pride for having been raised in a sort of anti-intellectual and brutal environment. I was all set to take my Russell Group humanities BA and spend my life working as an anonymous, insecure wageslave forever thankful of being offered a job and forever too insecure to pursue my creative ambitions. The chip on my shoulder had become something of a wedge, and I felt too out of place regardless of my environment, too resentful and bitter to even attempt to make it in the artistic world. Then I finally applied for Oxford and got in to study an English MA, with reassurance that should I work hard enough a career in academia or within one of Oxford's affiliated companies would be almost guaranteed. I turned up as apprehensive as usual, and the first few days were spent regretting my decision and desperately feigning a cultured personality. But then I realized that the people there were just interesting and that the snobbery and exclusivity I had anticipated was just a myth borne out of my working class upbringing. I've since graduated, having spend the year dining in grand halls with groups of interesting people, dating several girls (one of whom, a petite Russian whose family traces back to the aristocracy, is now my fiancee). I work four days a week at a publishing company and earn ?38k a year. I regularly meet up with friends from my college and visit Oxford for nights out and for meetings with my professors.

I don't think that relion itself is entirely a by-product of class oppression. By that I mean that if, suddenly, we were to eliminate classes and everyone was equal-would everyone abandon religion-I don't think so. It doesn't all come down to class.

Yeah, that's the problem with religion, and why it was supressed in socialist states like the USSR. It is effectively a class system if you look at it from the outside, but for believers it essentially their entire world view.

Our class system is perpetuated by the ruling classes, through the media mainly, but religion is self-perpetuating. Once you convert a man to Islam, it's incredibly hard to turn him back, despite the oppressiveness of the religion.

We are lucky that we live in such a secular country, where we can dream of equality.

This is why I hate this country.

Fucking everyone my age is some raving leftie who always wants to debate politics and show off to me about how much they care for poor people. This is why I defriended half of the people on my Facebook, because I never speak to them and yet they keep sharing Corbyn posts and ranting about rich people like brainless drones.

I literally don't care. I hate British politics. David Cameron bores me, Jeremy Corbyn makes me angry, and Nigel Farage is irrelevant and just chats shit about immigrants because uneducated white people love it.

All I want is a peaceful libertarian country where free speech is defended, drugs are legal, and there isn't a constant swarm of lefties trying to tax Coca Cola or nationalise the bus service or some shit.
>>
>>27604673

>People like you are an absolute dream for the elite

Who exactly is "the elite", mate? Because I seriously hope you don't think "the elite" in this country is right-wing. Even David Cameron is a die-hard centrist.

>The entire media establishment in the UK is set up to create people like you

Except you ignore the fact that at least half, if not more, of the British media is violently pro-leftwing and will tar anything even remotely right-of-centre as "evil/fascist". See the Mirror, the Guardian, the Independent, etc.

And most of the media outlets you describe as "right-wing" are not actually right-wing, they're simply anti-immigration and culturally nationalistic. Which are beliefs that I do not sympathise with.

>who "don't care" about politics and will do nothing to change the current situation.

I wish I could afford to not care. But I do have to care about politics to quite a large degree, because socialist shills like you are everywhere and apparently want to turn my country into an Eastern Bloc dump.

The sooner you realise that the left-wing IS the establishment in Britain, the better. Every major media outlet is pushing left-wing economics, "tax the rich", "nationalise everything" nonsense.

Jesus fucking chist the delusion.

Redefine your ideas of right and left mate, they are extremely wrong.

The elite are the people with money, as always. These are the people who own the newspapers, control TV etc.

You seem to be confusing liberal politics with left-wing politics. Liberals (the Guardian) see the problems in society but not the causes. They're all about "charity" and political correctness etc. but don't actually want serious reform.

The country we live in is outrageously undemocratic, the people have almost no power. If the media truly were left wing as you claim, they would be up in arms about this. But of course they're not, because at the end of the day, if actual change came about, the people who control the country would have less money.

>You seem to be confusing liberal politics with left-wing politics. Liberals (the Guardian) see the problems in society but not the causes. They're all about "charity" and political correctness etc. but don't actually want serious reform.

Not really. The left is the realm of state-controlled economies and collectivism. The right is for free market economics and individualism.

As far as I can see, the Guardian/Independent/Mirror are still in favour of broad nationalisation of the economy and the erosion of individual rights, while all of the so-called "right-wing papers" are still in favour of some nationalised industries, and are also anti-individualist.

There are incredibly few media outlets in this country that are for genuine free market economics. You will never see a major newspaper argue for the abolition of the NHS or the BBC, no matter how poor their output gets.

>The elite are the people with money, as always. These are the people who own the newspapers, control TV etc.

And yet the BBC still exists, providing large swathes of British people with literal state-dictated news and information.

The only elite here is the government, and the only reason they have as much power as they do is because mindless, usually left-wing, voters keep handing away powers to them at the ballot box because they think "well, the state is less evil than corporations!"

Rich people can only have true power in so far as they can influence government policy with money. And if government policy is influenced by money, then that's not a free market system, that's a corporatist system.

>The country we live in is outrageously undemocratic, the people have almost no power.

In what way exactly? In what way is your life hindered by the "undemocratic" nature of Britain?

Democracy is a sham anyway. The idea that the 51% should be able to dictate the lives of the 49% is collectivist nonsense.
>>
>>27605164
>What age is that, out of curiosity?

I'm 20. Most people I know below the age of 30 are left-wing. And many of them are Corbyn supporters.

Most young people are left-wing because their friends are, and because they think it's cool/rebellious.

>You might not care, but a lot of other people do.

Again, your view of politics is incredibly right-centric. Being in favour of nationalising certain services and organisations in no way makes a media outlet "left-wing". I suppose the terms are largely subjective and unimportant anyway.

The point is that we live in a free market economy, and no media outlet proposes any serious kind of reform.

Obviously I am no fan of their politics, but UKIP received 12 percent of the national vote, and got nothing for it, whereas just 37 percent of the population voted for the party that received complete control. That's an obviously broken system.

Again, you are conflating liberalism and left-wing ideals. Personally I fucking hate liberals. They are pretty much as you describe, they are happy to complain about the problems of society, but will never push for serious change.

Pretty much the whole of Europe operates under "liberal-democratic" systems, but this is in no way the same as a left wing government.

What is also funny is that DXM has anti-depressant characteristics by acting like an SSRI but despite that I don#t feel better now or more euphoric or something. probably proof that I am not depressed.

Man, I've not had Desperados since an exceptionally grim night out in Leeds years ago (don't worry, I was at a music night, alone).

I've got Guinness. It's making me really peckish though so I might treat myself to some oven chips and curry sauce to go with the next tin.

>hur dur le DXM is bad because I read on bluelight that it damages your brain
maybe you should read the actual research on the matter. the claims that it causes olney's lesions were retracted. DXM is one of the lighter drugs. alcohol is 10 times as bad, hangover is fucking terrible.

i took 18 capsules of dxm yesterday and feel fine beside the ear thingy. but btw it just cleared itself up, i hear normal now. so maybe this was unrelated to the dxm.

and even though this experience was "boring", it was not bad or terrifying. also i did not puke, didnt get nauseous at all or get any other bad side effects besides the usual stuff like double vision and bad motor control.

i bet your normalshit-ass takes alcohol and thinks all other drugs are worse. they aren't. alcohol is one of the harder drugs. I'd rather take 2 boxes of DXM than drink a bottle of vodka. would probably end up in a hospital from the latter.

i know that's hard to believe for normies like you who like to shoot themselves off each weekend but yes, that's true.

Think about it for a second: From alcohol, in amounts as it's taken by normies on weekends, you get a severe hangover.
From a trip-dosage of DXM you get NO hangover whatsoever and most of the time don't even have to puke while on it, except if you move very fast maybe.

I think you're right. Obviously I don't fancy killing and eating people but Hannibal's logic is pretty sound. In the series he is actively looking out for Gillian Anderson's character (his psychiatrist) and he doesn't want Will to suffer the consequences of his murders.

I watched Hannibal Rising the other week and even though it got pretty mixed reviews I actually enjoyed it. I feel like the Hannibal Lector character is very misunderstood on a grand scale.

All I have done is hurt my family. I do not want to keep hurting them. I feel my only option is to hurt them one last time. If I am gone they will not have to hurt.

No it doesn't. Funny how you are so "sensible" but you couldn't find a single statistic that indicates that immigration has a negative impact on the country. Your opinion on the matter is entirely influenced by the media and you don't even realise it.

I am a different person to the guy you replied to before

I meant impact in the sense that economically, yes, immigration probably benefits the country.

But in other ways it doesn't. Do you live in a town that has clear divisions in communities between English people and migrants? Do you see how that has negatively affected the wellbeing of the town?

They do not mind that I do not have a job. I use my benefits to help pay for things. They told me I do not need to. I do it because I want to feel useful.

A lot of these divisions are caused because people believe what the media says. It's a vicious cycle really. The entire "debate" is just so artificial. They are not a problem, end of.
