Horrible. She cares for me so much, but I'll never get better. I wish I was stronger. She worries about me every single day, no doubt.
It's a vicious cycle. All I can think about when I see and talk to her is all the things I'm sad about and want to apologize for, which makes her sad because her son isn't happy and she feels helpless to do anything.

My mom was pretty controlling while I was growing up, borderline helicopter parent really. Naturally I always kind of resented her for that. When I went away for college I didn't come home to visit until winter break, barely even called home, maybe only like once or twice a month.
I still remember when I came home for the first time, she gave a hug and told me how lonely it was now without me and how she missed me. I realized then that no women in the world would ever love me as much as my mother does and it hit how much of an pathetic, asshole son I was. I was doing horribly in school but I just lied and said I was doing well. I just wanted her to be proud of me.
I never knew my mother and I don't want to know her.
Please do your best for your mothers if they love you.
