Well this was in like 2010 and we were in the same WoW guild. I've never really met any wealthy guys on r9k, and the ones I did meet were absolutely insane.
I would say if you want to find a rich orbiter, go on game forums, be a girl, and immediately they will flock to you. You of course have to be at least somewhat cute (I was fat when this happened though so maybe you don't even have to be cute) and just talk to them. Eventually you'll find someone so desperate to keep you in their life, they'll give you anything.
