Something inside me just feels profoundly alone, I guess. I've got plenty of friends that I hang out with on a regular basis, but I don't have a single meaningful connection with any of them
it just feels like there's a whole other world that's held just out of reach, something intimate and closely held between two people
you describe it pretty well, it's that sort of tacit understanding that lets you grow together and truly appreciate one another, and it just doesn't arise in most simple friendships
