Yeah I was in the medical field now I'm going into trucking for a while. I hope IT works for you. You might want to do a bunch of research though.
Seeing how a lot of IT is out sourced. If you do local IT it might be a nice source of income(where you work at a office or hospital) but you would need versatile knowledge in computer systems and hardware.
