I can give you about a 98% confidence that from Mcdonald's point of view, installing this thing made sense for them. If not a faster line, than perhaps higher sales volume, whatever it is. Implementing this is something that they engineered and studied and modeled and loads of old men and some younger men stayed up nights thinking about implementing it. And it's been in place for maybe over two years now in places, and I haven't heard a thing about it since. That suggests to me that it's actually working.
I've been through the wide-lane twofer burger joint fat farm multiple times, myself. I haven't timed it, but it doesn't seem to be much worse than other drive-throughs.
