my mom wanted to watch some anime with me this season so I chose Phantom world to watch with her as it aired. I thought because it was KyoAni the fanservice wouldn't be over the top. I kind didn't know what to do when the limbo scene started in the first episode, but when Mai started bouncing her tits to get under the pole my mom lost it and her sides were in orbit.

Why the fuck would you set an awful folder like that to your screensavor?
on a somewhat funny note it does remind me of when I moved back into my moms house I thought hiding my hentai folder in my wallpaper folder was a great idea. That was until like 5 months later when I realized my wallpaper folder was my screensavor so every so often hentai would just pop up on screen between wallpapers.
I remember when I was a younger and there was only one tv with cable in the house.
During the early 00 they actually played fuck tons of anime on cable and I watched quite a bit of it. Because the living room was also my moms main domain she actually watch quite a bit too. While she did not like it as much as me, she did actually get into a few shows a bit. And she loved to make fun of other shows, mostly shonen bullshit and Inuysha.
She did really enjoy Studio Ghibli movies.
But mostly she just saw it as something me and a few others of the household where into, but most of it was not really to her taste. Like action movies that take themselves to seriously.
In summary my mom is cool about anime.
