Can you recommend me some anime robots?
I liked Neon Genesis, Serial Experiments Lain, Ghost in the Shell 1 and 2, Madoka Magicka, Mushi-shi, Oreimo, Watamote, stuff like that.
Samui Champloo is my all time favorite anime. It's not as "hardcore" I guess, but if you haven't seen it I would give it a try.

It is more of a story about transition from a hikkikomori/NEET into someone who is able to sustain themselves.
Though yeah, the anime is overly dramatic compared to the light novel which does so many things differently.
How has nobody mentioned Monster Musume yet. You should know it's good already judging by the fact it's not sorted into subbed or dubbed but censored or uncensored
