I'm an idiot and didn't unplug my immersion blender before I tried to scrape it out. I was experimenting with methods of making the best, flakiest pie crust and thought the stick blender would be an okay substitute for a food processor. It's not. The butter and sugar gummed it up to all hell, and without thinking I just got in there and started scraping it out. Metal bowl I was working over bumped the start button, and the rest is history.
It embedded in the bone and had to be removed at the ER. I was pissed, because they wouldn't give the attachment back, and I had to buy another.

This is before I got the proper stitches. They did make-shift ones at first because the thing was mutilated and they at least needed it to look more like an actual finger.

Reminds me of when i wasn't paying attention at work when i was doing demolition, and i had the nail-gun in my hand nailing up some timber on the ceiling when the nail pierced through the thin timber and went right into my index finger.
