/pol/ is /r9k/'s antithesis. /pol/ preaches the values of what makes men "alpha," and encourages such behavior (speaking your mind, stand up for your beliefs, not bending over for untermensch, etc) despite its racially charged rhetoric. /r9k/ is more about wallowing in eternal self-pity and embracing the feeling of being pathetic. It's a defeatist board for defeatist people. Much like the people who browse /r9k/, /r9k/ doesnt know what it wants to be. It just knows its here and it hates the fact.
/pol/ on the other hand has a purpose, to stand as a counter-culture to what pervades our status-quo today, from the media to government to what-have-you. It is for all intents and purposes a board dedicated to standing up to the culture we inhabit across the globe, with multitudes of posters from many different countries weighing in and discussing society, almost like the forums of ancient Rome, only with electricity applied. This healthy social discourse is good, and while the message /pol/ puts out isnt always pretty, its one that is valid nonetheless.
My point is, /pol/ has a purpose, /r9k/ could have one but everyone here is cucked to the max and needs to grow a pair. I've been on /r9k/ and /pol/ since 2011 so I believe my observations to be accurate.
