What are some good reasons to live, /r9k/?

No 1: We all have that one special person in our life who's there no matter what. My beautiful girlfriend loves me and I love her back equally so.

No 2: Art and music. There's nothing that embodies the human spirit as much as an artistic expression of one's experiences. Remember your first kiss with that girl as you both awkwardly looked into each other's eyes? It's magic. We can channel this energy into a song for instance.

No 3: Game of Thrones. A great series worth living to see.

What are some others?

I just feel humiliated every day I'm alive. My insecurity has reached a peak. I hate life. I stay alive because my family would find my body and it would probably cause some of them to off themselves, but maybe not.
>>
There is no meaning to life. Suicide is the only way of taking control of it.

there's no real relief. That's why I keep going back to suicide, it's just a cycle of shit. I'm just weak, and inferior and worthless and a coward and mentally ill. idk what I'm going to do I hate myself.

I legitimately have joy in my life every day from reading about the suffering of normies and would have nothing to live for if there was world peace and freedom from misery

No 1:The internet. as sad and depressing as it maybe this is the only place I feel good.

No 2:My family. I dont want to hurt them and seeing what happened to my family after my dad died, I'm afraid of what will happen if I die.

No 3:The simple fact that I dont know what lies beyond life. I am an Atheist so I believe nothingness but I cant just wrap my head around it so I am afraid of it. Also afraid of the unlikely alternatives... reincarnation? hell? neither sounds appealing.
>>
Look Anon.. I once had suicidal thoughts too and until now I can't believe it but this is what happened.

> Be me 18 year old lonely, never had gf, no job and barely passing in school
> one night I couldn't sleep and had so many suicidal thoughts
> I started having an anxiety attack
> all of a sudden I clicked, its like time has stopped
> and it hits me

We are nothing but animals.. we have evolved to be superior and survive, we evolved from a bunch of cells and became who we are right now, we developed a brain in order to help us survive this tragic world, that we're only a bunch of cells working in a mass (brain) and that every single cell in your body believes that you can drive it to survival, these cells work 24/7 for you and it would be a shame that a bunch of cells in your brain clicked and decided to kill the entire body.

No matter how shitty your life is anon, these cells believe in you, they have faith in you, don't fail them because they won't, they will do their best for you, so you do your best for them.

At least you know it's always there for when shit hits the fan.

But the afterlife is fun to think about. For some reason I completely rule out a heaven or hell despite it being taught in my upbringing. I'm more inclined to believe nothing happens/OR we come back in a different life. It happened once why can't it happen again?
>>
>>27484353
fuck off, wannabe-normie. no need to bring up anything about a "happy" relationship on r9k, regardless of whether it's real or not.

also your reasons are shit. GoT shit/overhyped-tier and your no 2 reason is gay af. first kiss' energy my ass. more like a fumbling mess.
>>
>game of thrones as a reason to live

jesus christ i literally don't have a purpose

this terrifies me. having to live again, having to dredge through all that shit again? sounds like a realistic version of hell for me.

1. Robot sex toys that make women useless.
2. Illegal human cloning lets you have a sex slave 10/10.

Those 2 reasons are what makes me happy inside.
>>
>>27484743
Maybe we'll get luckier in the next life, eh?

I'm only living until near/fully-immersive VR is a real thing. I sincerely hope it's within my lifetime, because I've been dreaming about it for years.
>>
>>27484791
Wishful thinking. you might reborn as an ant, with some kid burning you alive with a magnifying glass.

Even if you reborn as a human, you might reborn into an even worse family in rural china.

And even if you beat the odds and be reborn to a wealthy western family, have an amazing life you will still be born into a shit planet that getting worse faster than getting better.

Would you rather have nothingness for eternity? Seems comfier.

I dont know, both nothingness and reincarnation scare me.
>>
>>27484554
That's actually a pretty cool thought anon
>>
>>27484927
You'll get over it soon. For me, it's comforting knowing that (hopefully) it's many many years away and everybody will go through it.

Hopefully the Christians are right though so God can give me a few minutes to explain.

fucking this
idea of living once again, of going through it all, all this stress in school, sleepless nights, exams at university which almost made me puke because of stress, wanting to fulfill my parents' expectations and finally very slow learning of not giving a fuck untill I realized it's not worth shit when I was 23

god, I would never want to go through that again, alright, school was fun, but besides life is 95% boring and sad, only 5% is fun, happiness and joy

Here's the way i see it
There's a huge, vast universe out there. There are so many endless possibilities for things to happen over the course of billions of years
We're essentially nothing in the big picture, but hey, that's not really the issue right now.
Why do we as humans feel so entitled thinking there's an entirely different life waiting for us after death? We're literally just a heap of cells. The main thing that makes us different from other animals is our brain.
>>
>>27485651
Well, as I mentioned way back in the replies >>27484536
>I am an Atheist so I believe nothingness but I cant just wrap my head around it so I am afraid of it. Also afraid of the unlikely alternatives... reincarnation? hell? neither sounds appealing.

I dont believe we human are entitled in any way. However I having no knowledge I cant discount the possibility to reincarnation. Also who says only humans reincarnate?

>>27484836
>you might reborn as an ant
if such a thing happens, it only stands for reason that it will probably work the other way around and the ant could just as well become the kid with the magnifying glass
>>
>>27484353
>all those meme reasons
Shit bait desu
>>
>>27485727
> Also who says only humans reincarnate?
I suppose you're right. But what would even be the point of reincarnation? Would you have to reincarnate on your own planet?
>>
>>27485765
well theres no data so its up to pure speculation.

One thing is for sure, it doesn't make sense to limit it only to humans/per race. because

A)What happened with our ancient ancestors, our neanderthal cousins? etc?

B)What happens during massive population drops, like during plagues, wars, etc.

C)What happens during childbirth boom?

all these cause way too many logical issues. expanding it to the entire planet lessens the issue although there are still issues with regards to massive extinctions. And we have no info for universal scale to make any estimate.

this is generally why I dont believe in the possibility of reincarnation, too many issues. nothingness sounds more probable.

All good questions but what about what happens when we have mass extinctions?
Did dino's resurrect as cockroaches or little alien fuckers somewhere and then come back?

I have a deep respect for people that become an hero. They have the courage I don't, I still gonna wait for more 50 years until my freedom.

>>27485910
I swear the only reason why I am alive by now is the former hype for Persona 5. Nowadays I don't play a lot of video games but I'm going to get it on launch day
>>
>>27484656

Useless without nerve feedback and proper ai.

Just Autism: Headgear edition.
>>
>>27485949
I've also lost most of my motivation to play vidya. However, I am actually genuinely excited for Persona 5. It's pretty rare that I see a new game coming out and not a single thing about it has disappointed me or made me think something was a poor decision on the developer's behalf.

Number one made me cringe my teeth out. Living for other people is a mistake, that is no way to live. People like that should honestly kill themselves as they are worthless individuals. Barely even individuals, just some other persons stinky shadow.

Number two I can agree with and yet again number three made me cringe so hard that I have no teeth anymore.
My analysis of your post ends with the result that you OP are a goddamn normie and you should fuck off.
