Are single gender schools a bad idea for kids?
>>
Yes. It literally turns kids gay and it mystifies the opposite gender for them.
>>
>>27482481
Guys perform worse when there are no women around so no.
>>
>>27482504
It only turns girls gay. Guys from those schools usually end up straight.
>>
>>27482481
Men will be unable to speak to women, and women will rebel afterwards, whether they become qt yuri girls or not.

But that stuff may happen without a single gendered school, and may not happen with it, so its a crapshoot to even have children.
>>
>>27482481
I don't think it really matters. We played a few games against some all-boys schools and made fun of them for being fags, but they seemed pretty normal.
>>
>>27482529

You put a bunch of horny teenage boys going through puberty in a building together with no female contact and eventually they're going to fuck each other.
>>
>>27482565
Show any evidence of this.

>protip; your personal experience ain't evidence
>>
>>27482481
It's good for girls and bad for boys.
>>
>>27482565
No they won't. I went to an all boys school and there was not much obvious gay shit. There were the occasional rumors about handjobs and shit though I will admit. But that's just normal.sexual.development.
>>
they are an excellent idea and all schools should be gender segregated by law.
watch teen pregnancy plummet, watch grades and graduation rates go up, watch the economy boom from all the sex crazed kids forced to go out into the real world to interact with one another.
>>
>>27482565

That only makes sense if they're imprisoned in the school. They all have social lives outside of it, and it's not like people are fucking during school hours at normal schools anyway.
>>
>>27482583
It's horrible for girls though.
>turns them super gay
>doesn't learn how to be feminine at all or how to properly act around boys

females corrupt everything so it only fallows that it harms boys in their for motive years shouldn't be surrounded by them in a place for study

Sounds good to me.
>>
>>27482610
the best years of western civilization girls weren't even allowed in higher education. They were taught how not to be sluts, how to act, how to dress, walk and talk.

>>
>>27482481
i'm in favor of them
that way you don't have kids feeling left out because some people are dating in school and they aren't

i still remember back to that acursed time where chad would hang out with literally 10 girls around him all the fucking time while i ate lunch alone
>>
>>27482636
Ignore it? you're a weak robot. That was easy mode.
>>
>>27482635
Lesbians are the best girls and they can still have a healthy interest in boys and have sex with them.
>>
I went to an all-boys school, and the vast majority of my cladsmates turned out fine.

I must be the only one out of 200 or so of my graduating class that got struck down by robotism

I'm certain that going there wasn't the CAUSE of my situation. But it couldn't have helped.

It would be interesting to see how many robots did go to all-boys schools.

Maybe there is a trend
>>
>>27482636
>fucking around with the law just because you still are mad that Chad was cooler than you in high school

Really?
>>
>>27482481
What this guy said:
>>27482583
Pretty much this. Girls will still get guys chasing after them, even if they go to an all-girls school. All they need to do is put themselves out there; message a few Chads on Facebook and watch them get some.

With boys, the Pareto principle applies here: the top 20% of boys (aka Chads) are still able to get some action with girls from other schools. The other 80%? RIP their social skills. They won't be able to experience the teenage life of being with girls; not even just hanging as friends unless they do it with girls they know already.

Source: Went to an all-boys school. Can't socialize for shit now; got turned down by all the girls I've tried, so I don't even bother anymore.

TL;DR Please, for the love of your kids, especially boys, send them to a fucking co-ed school.
>>
>>27482565
>He thinks prison and high school are the same thing.

You know you can't just correlate everything by loose threads right?
>>
>>27482636
At least in co-ed schools, you get a chance. Probably a small one as a robot like me, but it's still a chance.

All-boys schools? Unless you're gay, fuck no.
>>27482659
If an actual study was done on this, there almost certainly would be. Obviously my notion is based on anecdotal evidence, but it's a simple theory:
>Co-ed schools = a chance due to actually having a presence of girls
>All-boys schools = no chance unless you're a natural Chad.
>>
>>27482736
At least in co-ed schools, you get a chance.
we are here for a fucking reason you moron
BECAUSE WE NEVER STOOD A FUCKING CHANCE
hell, if i went to an all boys school maybe i actually wouldn't be a virgin, i'd be happily gay and not stuck here complaining to you lot of fucks
>>
>>27482736
Masculine influence would help more than harm.
This board is full of kids raised on feminism.
>>
>>27482481
>trying to minimize distractions to focus on education
>>
>>27482792
>implying that boys will happily be gay for you
What's stopping you right now then? Oh yeah, that's right: the fact that most people are straight, and so are you. You're lying to yourself if you'll enjoy assfucking if you're not gay.
>>27482817
>Masculine influence would help more than harm.
Yeah, not from other boys your age. If you're talking about teachers, there'll still be teachers of both sexes that you can be "influenced" by.

Boys and girls literally learn differently. The schooling system in place right now most benefits girls. It is already proven to be advantageous to teach them separately in the ways the learn best.

Some reasons it hasn't been done yet on a large scale includes but is not limited to:
People being lazy.
People thinking it is stupid.
People thinking it is sexiest.
People thinking it is unnecessary.
People not wanting to try and reform things.
People not wanting to pay more taxes to fund a reform.
>>
>>27482817
I'm 80% sure I would have still been the worlds biggest sack of sad shit in HS if I never dated anyone in HS.

The only thing that would have been different is I would have lived through the god awful period of the kamigawa block.

Nothing can stop this level of internal hatred and self-loathing that I have that gives way to a false outer confidence so I can stand up to everyone else in this world.

The only difference I believe would be I would actually have cards that are worth money instead of the worlds most garbage trade binder to exist.
>>
>>27482829
>implying that members of the opposite sex are only distractions
No. They are part of your education; your social education that's supposed to make you into a well-rounded human being.
>inb4 topkekage; Y U ON /R9K/ IF UR SO EDJUMACATED
Speaking from experience here. My social education is lacking. This means that learning to talk to girls is a helluva lot harder now, since they only talk to dudes who are socially competent enough. It's a fucking Catch-22 now.
>>
>>27482481

I went to an all-boys school for 5 years and I ended up here.
>>
>>27482590
>I went to an all males school and I turned out fine
Lol you're on r9k bud.
>>
95% of the reason most kids stay in school is because they enjoy it. Having friends to talk to, girls to gawk at, and so on. If they don't have that to look forward too, they will quickly become uninterested.
>>
Senior in HS, all boys.
Fuck me, man. Whenever I talk to girls, I have to mentally project them as dudes so I can talk to them normally, otherwise I take things too weird and it gets awkward. And that's on the rarity that I do talk to girls.
Fortes in Unitates,fucking kill me.
>>
>>27483046
>Whenever I talk to girls, I have to mentally project them as dudes so I can talk to them normally, otherwise I take things too weird and it gets awkward.
Bingo. You're just supposed to talk to them normally, but unfortunately:
>And that's on the rarity that I do talk to girls.
Yep. First, you gotta get them to actually talk to you. How do you do that? Well, don't ask me. In school, you're all thrown together, so it's kinda like "I might as well talk to the guy next to me". Beyond school, you're fucked in the mental sense.
>>
>>27482590
>There were the occasional rumors about handjobs and shit though I will admit. But that's just normal.sexual.development.
for queers
>>
So fucking what I didn't talk to girls in my class or school, I was fucked up.
>>
>>27482481

Don't know honestly. On one hand, segregation keeps kids focused on studies. On the other hand, segregation keeps kids focused on their studies by not giving them the tools to distract themselves with cunts/cocks, but they'll ultimately need that information later in life.

I guess it's fine if you make sure to force kids together outside of class. And I do mean force, the kinds of kids that need help getting with the opposite sex aren't going to be able to hook it up extracurricularly. They NEED that overarching structure to even get their feet in the door.
>>
>>27483451
>lern2reply
In all seriousness, I'm sure we're all in the same boat; this is /r9k/ after all. But, better to have the opportunity to talk to girls, than to be stuck in an all-boys school. This kills the socially-awkward male, the one who should've learned to do so in high school, but unfortunately due to neglectful parents, who didn't send him to a co-ed school.
>>
>>27482736
I don't know, I had younger co-workers who went to an all-boys school and they - and their friends - all either had girlfriends or had girlfriends in the past.

Then again the two largest highschools in that town were that all-boys school and an all-girls school
>>
>>27483481
So much this. My college (not American) only held socials with its sister school for the middle school grades; unfortunately I missed out. Even then, it was once a year for a grand total of fucking two, then they left us to fend for ourselves.

Unfortunately, how the hell do you "force" boys and girls to hang out with each other extracurricularly?

With me, I tried to go to a (Catholic - yeah, I know, lame) youth group on 4 occasions. And what happened? I tried to socialize with the girls - but they All. Fucking. Ignored me. This destroyed my self-esteem, so now I just don't fucking bother.

TL;DR Fuck segregation. We need to interact with the opposite sex. It's just a natural human desire.
>>
>>27483554
Well, you are talking to /r9k/ here bro. What's the context? Did they hold social events together a lot? Because that's what I'm guessing.

Also, I'm willing to bet that your coworkers and their friends aren't that bad looking; a 7/10 at worst.
>>
>>27483586
>Did they hold social events together a lot? Because that's what I'm guessing

I honestly think the only joint event they had was the ball for the final year students. Then again I'd only moved to that town a few years before so I don't know if they had other events.

>I'm willing to bet that your coworkers and their friends aren't that bad looking; a 7/10 at worst.

no homo, but around about that (though one was like a 5'6 manlet)
>>
>>27483640
Odd. Well, the fact that they're >7/10 means that they definitely have it better than other dudes. It's a positive feedback cycle for them; girls want to talk to them, so they gain the skills they need, which leads to sex, and more sex, and good relationships.

With us? Fuck all. The fact that we're on /r9k/ is a contribution to our own negative feedback cycle. I should really get off this place.
>>
At that age there are limited ways to meet girls outside of school. The only ways I can think of are if:
1. They have sisters.
2. Girls get on the same bus to and from home.
3. They are part of activities such as youth group.
4. Their parents friend's have daughters their age.
5. The school organises regular events with sister schools.

In my case I lucked out on all of the above, went to an all boys school and now I'm on r9k.
>>
On the other hand, as an adult I never meet girls from single sex schools. Literally every girl I meet has been to a coed school. I think the single sex school girls are highly averse to interacting with strangers as adults.
>>
>>27483562
>but they All. Fucking. Ignored me. This destroyed my self-esteem
so you wish you were subjected to this every day of class, instead?

Not even a meme. I went to a high school where you could board if you wanted to and they got up to some severely gay shit.
>group jerk off sessions to porn mags
>few videos got released of them all dancing naked together, touching dicks together etc
>would collect sperm in bottles for a few weeks
>choose a first year, go into his room while he slept, dump cum all over him
>etc
Beyond that, yes, I regret going to an all boys school. While all my friends were off mingling with the opposite sex, overcoming the awkward shit, getting GFs etc, I was chilling in my queer little blazer hanging with greasy smelly fucks who had no reason to adhere to any sort of standards for outward appearance.
>>
>>27482481

Yes.

I remember how the teacher would have to stop every couple of minutes to explain something basic that some girl at class didn't get. It would make classes boring and everlasting. I ended up skipping most classes with girls in them because they got so fucking stagnant.

I also couldn't fool around or be a child when girls were around. They would always tell on me when I pulled a friendly prank on some friend and if I said something to a buddy of mine they didn't find to their liking they would be offended and get me in trouble.

Growing up around girls was a shitty experience. I feel like I was robbed of the only period of time in my life where I was supposed to get the kid inside of me out.

this so much

its a fucking meme that not having girls will remove distractions

I still scrapped past on most subjects regardless, while wasting at least 95% of my spare time playing vidya, the other 5% deluding myself to think I'm studying.

social interactions with girls are extremely awkward now as its almost impossible with having 5 years of no contact. Theres very little that I can do to fix this apart from talking to them, which ends up just being awkward and making me feel worse

>tfw i will never feel pic related

>exactly why buggery at eton is still a thing.

Not that I'm personally aware of. I wasn't exactly the most sociable person either, so I didn't know a lot of people and anything about their affairs.

But I have insider info about a guy who was caught filming boys in the shower and sharing the videos. It was all hushed up. This was after I left though.
