Oh god no, I was a NEET for four years that almost never left the house and was browsing 4chan with no one to really go out with well before I really got into watching as much anime as I could. Only time I watched anime was in high school but that was with western cartoons as well and it wasn't like I was going out of my way to continually watch it, if it was on I'd watcher otherwise no skin off my nose.

When I hit 22-23 and every "must watch anime" involved high school settings/high school characters that I cannot relate with anymore and just lost interest.

26 and started losing interest a few months ago. Even my JRPGs aren't letting me escape the misery of my real life.
Started watching mostly western shows and film. Have Durarara and Galko-chan to finish from this season, but I think I'm just gonna stop following seasons this spring. I'll always have a special place in my heart for animus and weeb stuff, but its failing to engage me on a more consistent basis.
