Weird, I started being an internet at age 11.
I started not giving a fuck at all about my real life, I acted wild and somewhat obnoxious in class, and embarrassed myself on purpose, because fuck what these people think, I'm going to have some fun anyway.
The whole time I developed a parallel online personality. I figured my real life isn't the real me; I didn't really have a chance to develop and I don't feel in control, so why worry about it? Online I'm calm, thoughtful, funny, creative, etc. (lol not rly)
Then the mushrooms came, and I learned to disconnect from my sense of self even more.
Then I learned about intellectual stuff, ended up reading Wikipedia to try to bring myself up to the current limits of human understanding, and holy fuck am I glad I'm not a normie. I hate being in extreme pain and having no relationships or prospects, but I'm glad I'm an individual who has time to learn about the world and not an ape swinging a fucking hammer until I'm 65.
Sorry for the tl;dr but point being, it's not really a big deal if you can work around it. And FUCK normies.
