NOPE. This happened about 6 months before moot deleted the board. It was toward the end of the original era, back when people here were still kind of beta, but there were still girls around and people actually had girlfriends and stuff. There was a lot of recurring "hey guys, does this girl like me, we went on some dates and this shit happened blah blah blah" and relationshit advice threads and shit. In one of these, the OP wrote about how he asked some girl out, took her to the mall for dinner and a movie. When they got there, they went to the food court, he asked her what she wanted, but she said he can choose, so he chose mcdonalds. She immediately switched into uninterested mode and ended up bailing on him before the movie. He ended up sperging out hard toward the end of his story and didn't understand why she wasn't happy, and he got BTFO'd in the thread.
Well, fucking moot shows up and says "nuh uh you can totally pull of a date to mcd" and everyone piles on him with "pics or didn't happen faggot" so he makes a sticky "hey any girls in X area code, if youre interested in a date to mcdonalds, write a paragraph about yourself and send it to [email protected]" Well, of course, since hes a fucking celebrity and posting on his own fucking website, they get hopping, and so moot takes his date to mcD, posts pics here with him in a tux and her in her prom dress. IIRC she was on the chubs side but its been a while. Anyway, thats when the lu/r9k/ers decided moot was a faggot and proceeded to shittalk him off the board at any chance.
Well, this eventually led to someone saging him a few months later. Moot replied that sage doesnt fucking do anything, it just doesn't bump the thread. Said poster called him a newfag, so moot responded with something like "you realize i made this site and can delete the whole fucking board if i wanted to?"

Well, that was the end of an era. With /r9k/ gone, all the "normies" basically pissed off to fb or reddit. He also had created /soc/ around the same time, but I cant remember if this was before or after the /r9k/ deletion, and a lot of them went there too. In response to the deletion, someone made a site hosting /n/ and /r9k/ (blocked from posting), to which the most /pol/ people went to their stormfront board and the most wizard guys went to their /r9k/ board (though granted for the first week-month it actually was really good and spawned a lot of OC and memes like alan keyes and spiders, but then people lost interest and only beta-as-fuck KV remained and it was a pitypool like wizardchan.
Eventually, moot came around and restored /r9k/ and /n/ (as /pol/ since he gave up on it ever being not /stormfront/ but the only people who really came back to /r9k/ were fedora tier losers and shit, and a little while after that, wojak and pepe got associated with the cancer >tfw no gf threads and it kicked off a rapid spiral into misogyny, bitterness, autism, and being a loser past the typical 4channer. The board attitude became hostile to the point that mentioning you were a girl (or had a bf without explicitly saying you were gay) would lead to >500 replies, 25 images hidden. Click to view of just buttmad virgins raging, and so they scooted off and its been an increasingly autistic shitpool ever since.
