ITT: skateboard or longboard?
Both are aesthetically pleasing imo- which is better?
Longboard for chill cruising.
Skateboard for wearing skinny jeans and being a little edgelord shithead.

I skate longboards and cruisers for fun and transportation. Also I lack the physical talent to do tricks without fucking myself up. I prefer wide square-tail boards. Pic is the board I skate right now in 8.9 inch width.
longboard if you don't want every little rock that your wheel catches throwing you off of the board
same with divets in the sidewalk
longboards with big wheels are the ultimate in comfy
longboard if you wear a helmet and are having a midlife crisis
if you get a skateboard expect people to ask you to do tricks
