Why don't you run, robots?

It will make you feel better

I'm more of a biking man.
>>
>>27446059
That sounds like it would be hard to get into. And awkward. Pretty much nobody runs in my city.
>>
>>27446075

For leisure or sport?
>>
>>27446059
Jokes on you, I already do
/fit/izens unite
>>
>>27446129

Find a gym with a track or a treadmill. Outdoors is always better, but you can still get the benefits.
>>
>>27446059
There is something wrong with my lungs.

Most people have dreams of flying. I have dreams where I can run without getting exhausted after 20 seconds.
>>
>>27446059
Because then I'd have to go outside.
And I don't want the world to see me...I don't think that they'd understand.
>>
>>27446059
>Normalfags shout stupid shit at me from their cars
>Normalfags walking on the same street shout "RUN FORREST RUN"
>Police always stop me and ask what I'm doing

Really helps me feel better.
>>
>>27446235
That's how it is when you first start out. It fucking sucks, but eventually it starts to become tolerable.
>>
>>27446059
already doing it senpai
>>
>>27446059
>that tfw when no gf
>>
Fuck running.
Shit destroys my joints and is painful as fuck.
I would literally prefer the hits and slams I take from martial arts practice, to a half hour spent torturing myself running, any day ever.
>>
>>27446290
I hade been trying to improve it for a year. Went out to run 2-3 times a week. Nothing improved. Occasionally I also lose my breath for no apparent reason and it takes a few seconds before I can start breathing again.
I wish I was never born.
>>
I used to run in middle school and early highschool. I was able to do a mile run in right about 6 minutes. I was fast as fuck and joined track, but I quit when my dad got mad at me for something and threatened to take me off the team. I didn't give much of a shit about track and I didn't want some stupid shit he could pull like that. I never got to compete.
>>
>>27446368
>Shit destroys my joints and is painful as fuck.

It won't destroy your joints as long as you aren't one of those whackjobs that run every day. Once a week isn't going to do any damage.
>>
>>27446132
Not OP but I like to bike ride for leisure to visit new places and see new things
>>
>>27446075
Cyclist here. Gonna be racing this season :3
>>
>>27446376
How long did you do it 2-3 times per week? If you actually want improvement you need to do it more (like at least 4-5 times per week) and keep it up with other aspects of your health (eating/drinking/sleeping)
>>
>>27446570
>>27446075

Go fuck yourself.

no regards,

/o/
>>
>>27446622
About 20-30 seconds at a time, then walking for 1-2 minutes to catch my breath(which I never did). Did this at a track that's about 400 meters for about 5-6 months. It never improved anything at all.
>>
>>27446624
> Tfw am an /o/tist but also an mtb rider

I still hate those lycra faggots but only when they pretend they are a car and go in the middle of the lane.
>>
>>27446731
M8 talk to a doctor you might have asthma
>>
>>27446920
I saw a kid riding a fucking longboard down the street yesterday.
Like, imagine an overweight frat boy cruising at about 9mph in a 30 with 8 cars behind him.
>>
>>27447027
Yeah that's the shit I hate m8. I'm overall fine with skateboarders and bikers though, my really problem is with stuck up cunts and douches.
>>
>>27446731
>>27446953
Yup seconded asthma. I would start out lightly jogging for maybe a half mile every other day and build up from there. 20-30 seconds doesn't cut it, and if you have asthma you can easily get an inhaler and boost distance and time.
>>
>>27446953
Already done. They said I was allergic to cats and dust. So I hade to get rid of my cats and clean the entire house. So far nothing's changed.
And they don't do any advanced tests on me, they just take some blood and I breath in a machine. That's the famous "free" swedish healthcare for you.
>>
>>27447150
Jogging for half a mile? That's fucking superhuman compared to what I can manage. I can jog for 20 seconds, then I lose my breath and can't breath for minutes..
>>
>>27446488
I think I was not totally clear.

I already have joint damage.
Running is super high impact on the joints and ligaments that are already damaged (knees and hips).
Plus I just fucking hate running. Zero pleasure from it, 100% just pain and suffering for no good reason.
I have other, lower impact, ways of getting cardio.

>don't want to leave house
>just run in place for 25~ mins while watching TV

You can actually work up a good sweat / heavy breathing while doing it. Solid cardio to be honest
>>
>>27446624
Fuck of faggot. I don't ride in the middle of the road and I always respect traffic laws. If you can't move over 3 feet so I don't fucking die you shouldn't be driving a two ton vehicle you fucking autist
>>
>>27447155
maybe check your house for mold and fungus
>>
>>27447190
How overweight are you? Not insulting you I'm just genuinely curious.

Everyone has to start somewhere, and if you have to start at 400 meters just do that. But always build up better so you can get stronger. You can do it mate all you have to do is just try. It's all up to you.
>>
>>27446075
I'm more of a bikini man.
wut
>>
>>27447155
That, and try getting an inhaler anyway. Just try and take slow walks outside on a nice area or in nature. And really check if here is mold in your house.
>>
>>27447254
Around 4 kilos overweight. I have no problem with pushups etc. It's just the breathing.
>>27447242
No mold or fungus in the house.
>>
>>27446059
've been cutting all junk food and soda and I've been running for 3 months and I can tell that my wide hips are disappearing! there's still hope for us fellow /widehips/
>>
>>27446059
walking is better
>>
>>27447203
>I already have joint damage.

Oh ok, fair point then.

any other lifting robots around?

how's the pre-summer cut going?
>>
>>27448110
I have been lifting for the past few months for martial arts.

It is pretty boring but I am seeing results so I will stick to it. Still it feels more like a self imposed chore then something I actually want to do in my free time.

Well if you're frantically sprinting down the street like a sperg of course the cops will wonder who you just killed/robbed.

You have to have that steady running pace
>>
training for a half marathon

ran 12.5 miles last sunday

usually clock 35 to 40 miles per week

But OP, I am always running from the truth and my inevitable fate
It does make me feel better but I am so tired
>>
people will see me and I sweat a lot
>>
biking > running

pros
doesn't hurt your joints
higher risk of wear injuries
faster
easier to customize the pace

cons
more expensive
more prone to equipment failure
increased risk of accidents
might turn you into a faggot
>>
I like to run.
>>
>>27450421
my favorite anon so far

>zooming past all of the people around you so it's almost like they're not even there and the whole earth is just there for you and you alone
