I don't understand why the fuck more robots don't work as electricians or welders.

Electricians, in my experience, have little social skills, do the least physical work out of the trades, can expect to get close to $30 an hour after 4 years (you get a journeyman at 4 years, but I haven't seen anyone start out for under $12 in Texas, where jobs don't pay shit), you don't need any experience at all to start and there's a huge demand. I remember putting in hundreds of applications and getting nothing, and put in a single application for a trade based job and got hired that day. Like shits so easy to get a job, and you don't have to put up with anyones shit.

Like as an Electrician, if someone was giving me shit I tell them to go fuck themselves and i'm celebrated, and if it pisses me off I just quit and get a new job the next day. Places also pay for you to go to school, which is 1 day a week normally. Like fuck this doesn't get much better as far as jobs go.

Also you get to fuck around and joke with other people like yourself. The only requirements are not being fucking retarded and being able to pass a drug test. Being moderately intelligent means you're going to make it far, being smart AND an electrician means you're going to be the boss of some people pretty fast. I have no idea why more robots don't do it, it's literally like a job made for robots and you just solve logic puzzles all day.

you need to work 80 hours a week to make a living wage, and most places wont give a single employee that much because of things like overtime so getting a second job is pretty common
>>

I find this hard to believe. It's not really possible to work 16 hours 5 days a week, not for any extended period anyway.

yeah what an incredibly new phenomenon. kids these days just don't know how to respect their elders, eh? never used to be like this when I was their age. everything was perfect in my memory

>>27441052
most people work for 5 dollars an hour + tips. service industry is the largest industry in amerca, and its all tip driven. but most people dont tip. so you have people working 80 hours and still only making 400 dollars a month and thats BEFORE taxes

>>27441062
Thanks for demonstrating what I was saying!
>>
>>27441052
>5 days a week
Most folks work 6 days a week or get a day off every other week if they have a second job.
If you work in the 8-10 an hour range, 50-60 hour work weeks are common.

You underestimate the stupidity of the average person, moreso the stupidity of the average woman.

They have no education, no marketable skills and up to their eyeballs in debt due to their iPhone and iWatch purchases. And yet despite all this, they decide to sleep with Chad and Tyrone, and wind up being a single mother to two demon spawns.

So it's not surprising when I hear that they have to work 80 hours per week.
>>
>>27441192
You people are insane.
I'm just a poor Slav, but I still only work 40 hours a week and make about 1.3x the national average.
I can't even imagine having to slave away at some retail job for 60 hours a week, with no paid vacation to boot.

Rookie mistake there lad.
Don't feel bad though, I did the same 8 years ago.

Same here. I was the one posting about people becoming an electrician. I don't get it.

>work retail
>make shit money
>people treat you like shit
>work lots of hours
>get fucked on pay
>it never gets better

But I guess people just do the bare minimum or something. I don't understand why the fuck people would do that with no desire to do anything else to better themselves. I can't really feel bad for them with how easy it is to move up. I'm making 40k a year by myself at 23 in a state where the average household income is 50k. I had no help along the way, no connections or hand ups, and it's not like i'm some kind of anomaly.

We work in the same field.
And I feel the same way, mostly. Some overtime once in a while is fine, when there are deadlines to meet. But it's pretty rare.
Besides the work is pretty chill, it's not like I have the proverbial Mr. Shekelstein behind my back all the time.
Having flexible working hours is nice too.

Most people working in retail just feel as though, despite working there, that the job is beneath them and it's an inconvenience to even be there/"I shouldn't have to do this" and absolve any responsibility to their contracted duties that they may have, for as long as they can get away with it.

The work isn't actually grueling, they just make it seem grueling to themselves by digging their feet into the dirt and refusing to do it, where by doing it they would realize it's not actually a big deal and the time actually passes by quicker; with the added convenience of not having to worry about your employment status because you weren't a layabout retard worrying if you're going to be caught.
>>
>>27440691

American here.

"Living wage," to people who complain about needing a "living wage," means that on top of covering utilities, internet, hygiene, food, and supplies, they expect to be paid enough for:
>Liquor
>Cigarettes
>Expensive phone plan
>Expensive cable
>Netflix
>Gym membership
>Xbox Live
>Car, note, insurance, gas, maintenance, tickets (American burger-flippers are too good for the bus)
>Restaurant food
>Movie tickets, cover charges, $5 club beers
>Snacks
Basically, my country is full of poorfags who want to live like the people who organize otherwise meaningless labor into society-building efforts. They don't understand the business they work for pays for
>Lighting
>Air conditioning
>Running water
>Taxes
>Shipment
>Licensing
>Warehouse cost of the goods they sell
>Insurance rates and claims
>Lawsuits and legal representation
>Advertising
>Regulation fees and fines
>Training and employee screening procedures
>Wages
And to top it off, they have to keep the margins between the price of goods and projected profit competitive with every other retailer, including Amazon.

I'm working 40 hours a week at $11/hour and I can afford a good place because I don't buy stupid shit I don't need. I'm realistic about what I contribute to society and satisfied with the compensation I receive in return. If I want a car, I'll get a trade. If I want a car, ballerina lessons, 3 gym memberships, a life-size wax figure of Rick James and a hoverboard, I'll prepare for a future in STEM.

I inherited the family business which has been around for over 300 years. I also manage other assets; three farms, a manor house, a factory and some residential housing. In addition to that I also sit on the board of a very large company, one of the largest in Europe, due to family contacts.

I don't have a clue what I am doing. It just works. I went skiing in February for a whole month and just let them get on with it. I interviewed a design engineer for a job once and I had no fucking idea what he was talking about. I Googled him, rang his referee and spoke to him for a few minutes. All of his portfolio stuff I just passed on to someone who knew what they were looking at.

There have been no instances of me ffucking it up. I come in, say hello to everyone and sit in my office playing on the computer and building model cars. My secretary, Nina, organises my entire life. I speak with people that we have known for generations, old men that my grandfather first employed, who tell me how great I'm doing and how I've carried on the tradition and so on. I'm stood there shaking hands with a guy who is 95 years old talking about some suspension layout he designed for tracked vehicles and he may as well be speaking Chinese. No one seems to have figured me out, or if they have they don't give a shit.

I don't even pretebd to know. I am as polite as I can be to my staff and if they ask for something they usually get it. Then they just work well.

Seriously, I'm fairly sure about ten percent of the companies in the world are run like this.
>>
I always seem to get stuck doing the job that I'm the worst at. I mean, I often get easy jobs, but then tend to stick me with doing things that make me fairly unproductive. Has no one heard of dividing people up into roles that they're fastest at?

Yes, there is public transportation, you just don't use it. The buses are invisible to you people. I live in a small town and even we have buses, but most of our poorfags would rather dump $200/month total on vehicle ownership and operation than pay $20/month to get around with other poorfags. Then they would feel like a poorfag!

I have plenty of fun, I just don't go around buying fun. If I wanted to buy a life, I'd get a real job. THEN I would deserve to skip the process of developing a personality and just buy a wife, buy fancy clothes, etc.

Money's a shortcut to fun for people who are too busy being important to mingle, loiter, and cavort their whole lives. If you want nicer things, stop spending your cash on temporary frivolity.

guys im going out to pick up weed but heres my story in the meantime,
ill come back and check for responses

i live in upstate ny, and look, working was a fucking nightmare

i'm 20 now, but since i was 15 i've worked at Goodwill, Homegoods, Stop & Shop, A&P, Shop Rite, CVS, (this is no fucking joke), A Movie theatre, AT LEAST 5 different restaurants, etc

literally all but one of those jobs i quit in a rage or i got fired intensely

and ALL of those jobs were unbearably fucking awful. Just corny, useless, tacky, stupid fucking work for SHIT pay

Right NOW, i'm working at a chinese food place with a mom a dad and 2 little kids, and it is fucking AWESOME

i'm not saying this to be a cunt or to rub it in anyones face, my point is that if you want a good job you just have to find the right place and find something owned by real people and not a fucking retail store. let the retail stores die.

I go in, get paid 50 in cash every fucking day, make atleast 50 dollars driving around smoking weed and making deliveries, and thats that. i NEVER have a problem with my boss and i dont even really have coworkers, its just me, him, the wife. and theyre all cool as fuck, i can eat lo mein and tofu whenever the fuck i want, i walk home with 80-100 cash every night, i'm almost always high/doing nothing

it's an ABSOLUTE BLESSING to have a job like that in this economy. and for him as well, because he pays 50 dollars and never has to make deliveries and has a white guy help with phones

so what im saying people is, fuck these retail stores, go for a literal mom and pop shop and just be helpful and always their on time.

im on my 2nd year their of being their every day for 5 hours, and while i dont necesarily love my life, i do love my job and my boss. truly.

so for all you wagecucks out there, heres to you. -takes a shot of stoli i stole from a supermarket-

except for the welding part.
I'm a pipefitter and pipefitting is FULL of tattooed turbochads and excons and motorcycle riders and rednecks its fucking ridiculous. I should have become an electrician cause then I might have some auismo friends instead of sticking out like a sore thumb amongst the fitters and welders

This. I've never had a good job like that, but you're exactly correct about how awful franchises are. They're essentially built upon squeezing every last ounce of life out of their employees. And it all comes from the top - the general manager pressures shift managers, which in turn pressures employees. It's just a constant rat race, with stressed managers taking out their frustration on stressed employees who end up snapping and quitting. Thus a high turnover rate, causing even more stress, and the cycle continues.

I did pretty well for a while, I was one of the fastest on the team, but it's fucking soul-sucking. I'm glad they never put me on unloading duty. Fuck, how do you even work the rest of your shift after doing that?

This was my first job, so I'm not even sure if all jobs are this shitty or if it's exclusively target.

Fuck I hate this, some real cheap fucks will come in and get angry if they can't get their junk for mere shekels.
Also fuck extreme couponers. I had this bitch come in and use like 40+ coupons in 12 separate orders, she bought a bunch of cheap dollar makeup and got it all for $0.00. And chances are shes going to sell it back for more than it is retail. Held the line up too which in turn held up all the other lines and slowed down everything.

Bump for returning night shift wagecucks
>>
>>27446545
Dude this fucking sums it up. All the problems from these entry-level jobs come from insecure hothead or cunty-ass managers who feel they have some master-slave relationship with their employees. Usually everything is going smoothly, I have honestly only met like one truly lazy employee and upper management handles things with tact, but those low-level managers are just overbearing and ridiculous a lot of the time. The one where I work are pretty cool if I'm being honest, but the general rule seems to be that usually in most places, they just fucking aren't

Fuck people who are saying to go into a trade if you want a robot job.

If you want a robot job here's what you do, work graveyard shift at a hotel front desk. Ta Da you get paid more than minimum wage and sit on a chair all day and watch anime without interacting with anyone.

The reason why these jobs aren't all taken is because normies can't stay up all night and sleep all day like some of us can. People expect their night auditor to be an autism weirdo, otherwise they might sleep on the job. (I sleep on the job anyways, for like an hour a day nap) I make 11 dollars an hour and work 40 hours a week, I live comfortably enough, and am independent.

what a horror story.
>>
>>27456964
>You're literally paying more for less. I appreciate her not being a penny pinching Jew but that's just straight up illogical.

This is an example of autism.

Wagecuck for 6 years, night shift at a small dispatch center for a campus police department. I'm easily the best dispatcher we have here, or at least the fastest. Being one of the few guys who work this position, instantly respected far more than the awful women we employ. The hardest part of my job is the most shameful. I feel like I have to actively pretend to be stupid and bad at my job. Found this out very early on during my first year that good work is treated with indifference and wrongdoing is inevitable. When you watch every female employee routinely fuck up on a daily basis it really does a job on your attitude. Ironically, this is a "girl job".

I'm supposed to check a list when students want to get into a computer or art lab late at night before I send the security guards to open it. After I argued with 10 of these kids that we're not helping them and they're not getting in.. I realized how pointless my job truly was. It was then when I decided to test the water. I stopped doing almost everything required of me on nights they forced me to work alone. The best and worst part is they never noticed. I let this go on for weeks and weeks. I'd watch other dispatchers waste their time doing the busywork data entry, some even staying after hours just to log in all of the calls. My goal was to get written up. I wanted to feel the lash on my back at least once. I took extremely long breaks. I'd hang out at gas stations with the clerk just talking to people while the other dispatch had to do my job. Came in late, left early.

It's been six years. I still haven't been caught. I'm beginning to believe that my job is just busy work outside of some random emergency someone didn't feel like calling 911 on. I'm here to babysit these phone lines and alarm system. Nobody cares what I do at this job, and I'm hearing I'm going to get a $4k-6k raise in a few months.

I've never felt so useless.

No matter what anon, and this goes for every other anon as well, DON'T EVER QUIT YOUR JOB!

Literally all you have to do is not give a fuck and do minimal amounts of work at a slow pace. Worst case scenario you keep your job and keep getting payed for years, best case scenario you get fired and get to enjoy an unemployment check and food stamps. When they make you try to get another job, keep applying for jobs that you know you won't get, eventually a case worker might ask you some questions and just be autistic as you can, if you're lucky you will get lifetime NEET bucks.

I got caught staring at an 11 year old girl, literally foaming at my mouth staring at this sweet girl in short shorts exposing her cute legs and being a bundle of joy and life, I couldn't help but watch this radiant little creature and pure angel, obviously I'm a hebephile and she caught my attention.

Co-worker mentions it to me saying I'm a perv and he saw me looking at the underage girl.
He didn't do much with this information because he was cool about it and just laughed it off. He knows I'm a stand up guy and not a pedosexual or anything, it probably helps that I'm a shy robot virgin so he knows I couldn't do anything even if I tried.
