This country seems to be filled with brown-nosing pussies who worship the upperclasses instead of despising/envying them even though they are being exploited by them en mass. The people are on large poor and miserable to the point where they need a constant stream of drugs and beer to keep them going. They almost all lack empathy, dignity, or any other noble character traits and simply behave like cowardly criminals. They seem to have been lobotomized of a wide range of useful emotions, such as envy, anger, hatred, and doubt, as a result the upper class knows they can continually exploit them and never receive any blow-back for it.
And everyone in this country seems to be susceptible to peer pressure to such an extent that every aspect of their personalities is fashioned to fit in with everyone around them. This results in a mass of incredibly conformist sheep with no real passions or ambitions. I've traveled to quite a few countries in Europe and Asia and almost nowhere are the people as uniformly conditioned as in the US.

We really don't worship our upper class.
Our society is not nearly as divided by class as most of the world. Europe still has nobility, the Middle East has monarchies, India has a caste system and a huge underclass of Untouchables, China has a huge rural/urban divide with their rural population still living as peasants lived 200 years ago. None of these things exist in the US, largely because we don't have poverty like other countries have. Our poor have refrigerated food, plumbing, automobiles, broadband Internet, cell phones, air conditioning, multiple cars; I could go on.
If anything our upper, lower, and middle class mingle together fairly interchangeably, the rich go to the same baseball games as the poor, I'm middle class and I regularly eat at the same restaurants that millionaires and the President eat at (I'm in the DC area.)
The second point I would make is if we really worshiped our upper class, we wouldn't ridicule them openly. Remember Condoleeza Rice getting smeared with "blood" (red paint,) or protesters hanging Bush effigies from nooses? Do you people could do that with PRC officials in China without fearing for their lives?

There is first-world, Western poverty, and then there is real poverty. Global median income is $1.2K. Anyone making more than $34k is in the top 1% globally. Even "poor Americans" are wealthy, even extremely so, relative to the rest of the world.
We do have a large wealth gap (that has grown in recent years and is worse than most people think) but it is not historically unprecedented nor is it extreme by global measures.
