So I stumbled into the world of ASMR videos. I don't get/have (whatever the word is) ASMR, but I was fascinated by the nature of some of the videos. Intimate. I'd like to make videos with that kind of intimate feeling that aren't ASMR or typical vlogging crap. Came to you guys because I couldn't really think of any other group of people that would likely want to watch long ass videos of an attractive woman talking directly to you about random shit in an intimate setting.
What would help the atmosphere?
What sort of topics would be good? Is it better to do things that I'm actually interested in to keep the personal vibe up? Better to do things I think others are interested in/requests?

Because ASMR videos are usually POV, if the person talking to "you" seems nervous it makes you feel like you're a creep and they're afraid of you, which instantly ruins the whole thing

Thanks. Is lighting/background stuff important? ASMR videos vary, and my goals are different anyway. I was thinking mostly dimmer/softer light that reduces the importance of background stuff for most videos, more light if I end up doing like "talking about objects I'm showing you" stuff, and then special videos in different settings, innawoods, at a park, etc. But all with more or less the same content.
Is it worth it to invest in multiple mics to cater to the ASMR crowd, or do you think there is a way to make these videos unique enough that catering to the ASMR crowd isn't an option?

Dim light is good because a lot of people are watching ASMR as a sleep aid on a laptop in bed in a dark room. If there's a lot of bright light coming from their screen it can be hard to relax.
I don't think a binaural mic setup is worth it unless you're planning on doing the whispering in people's ears thing. It's essential for that, but if you're just talking straight to the camera it won't add much.
If you're conventionally pretty though, you can just disregard any of this advice because you'll get a bunch of views from thirsty dudes no matter what you do.

A big problem for me at least would probably be background noise, you might end up with a lot of loud unwanted noises that distract from your voice.
