For a time yes, but you get use to it or my sense of smell is just knocked out from time to time someone dumps something down the drain and it could smell bad but it's not like I'm knee deep for hours sometimes to Safeway distribution center dumps milk but that's it. The pay is great and it's rewarding. I haven't gotten very sick but that's just my system getting use to it just wash your hands and shower after work.
