ITT we are in the 90's again, and only 90's things.

Here we escape from our miserable """"""lives"""""" in this fucking modern era and go back to the 90's where we were happy ignoring everything happening right now.

We were happy, let's be happy again

Scum born after 1990 can go fuck themselves

I'd say 1995 onwards aren't by any way possible.

Born '85 here.

Can we go to Blockbuster!?! I miss the smell of that place, it was like a mixture of plastic, body oder and popcorn.

I used to ride my bike there and get movies and a snack. I liked butterfingers and twizzlers.

Was for me anyways kek. By high school I was too weird for anyone to hang out with me - my own fault. Mental illness or whatever, just a weirdo. Never recovered from it, now I'm more normal but lost how to socialize.

It was so easy in the 90s.

Anyways, 85 here and the 90s can go fuck themselves. I didn't have internet at home until 2002. I love living in the future, I can play any video game I want and watch any movie ot TV show that I want and listen to any music album that I want from all the world in just a few minutes or seconds. Back then I could only watch one of like 5 channels on the one TV in our living room where my dad or older siblings decided what we would watch anyways, I had to save up weeks and months of lawn-mowing and driveway-shovelling money just so I could waste my money on a CD that I didn't really like and was tricked into thinking would be good because of the one song I heard on the radio, and then would have to jack off to black and white Archie comics that I stole from my older sister, and then go to That Kid's house in the hopes that I would get to play Super mnario World for 15 minutes at most.
The ONLY good things about the 90s were

Arcades
alternative mainstream culture like nu-metal and pop-punk, which carried over into the 2000s anyways
a bit more privacy, so that you could shit your pants and cry in public without becoming a worldwide viral video star

For some reason I found that way hotter than clicking and fapping.

It was a complete ritual, the result had a lot more value. I discovered a way to mess with the VCR and record the porn without any filters, albeit a sorta shitty quality. I came buckets that day.

And the women were hotter also.

same, we had no cable or nothing just rabbit ears and local/national stations, but once a week on weekends at like 1am there would be one softcore erotic film movie playing somewhere between 11PM and 1am.

There would maybe be like 17 minutes of boobs/fake sex and an hour and 13 minutes of drama and bullshit, but it made it all the more special.

I feel sorry for kids who grew up with unsupervised and unrestricted internet, they don't know that less is more and probably end up turning gay after trying out the trap fetish meme once regular porn got old.

Okay. I'm eight years old and don't understand the internet.
I've never heard anyone refer to the 'World Trade Center' when mentioning the Twin Towers.
Basketball is really good and entertaining.
Santa is probably real, even though I just have to take everyone's words for it.
I've never thought about being a lawyer or doing anything other than working construction or being a pro athlete.
The only girl I ever interact with is my cousin who lives two hours away.
My little brother is merely a harmless annoyance.
My older brother knows everything and is the coolest, most important kid in the world.
The only discs I've ever used are for NBA Live 98 and Encarta on the computer.
I can't even walk down the block past James' house without a parent.

Fun?

The worst part was how for weeks and months leading up to that I constantly daydreamed about being a hero that stops a school shooter, I think we all did that at one point, but then I made it happen with meme magic and wasn't even there. I also would have been directly in his path at that time had I gone to my class.

I don't remember senpai, probably some Disney bullshit, but the first one that I bought for myself was a 3-pack of Jean Claude van Damme movies (don't judge)

>>Your first DVD movie

ehhhh.... probably the first season of Family Guy, which came out in like 99 or something, and still have today.

>>Your first casette tape

I bought three with some Christmas Money. Green Day's Dookie, Weezer's Pinkerton, and Will Smith's Big Willie Style.

>>Your first CD

It was either WWF The Soundtrack Vol 3, Rob Zombie's deubt album, or the Pokemon TV show soundtrack.

>>Your first video game console and game

Sega Genesis paackaged with a Ren & Stimpy game which was pretty good, not counting those Tiger hadhelds.

>>Your first PC and PC video game

Don't recall the brand or model, but it weighed 80 pounds and the monitor only displayed black and green and I could tell it was already a secondhand old model back then. It came with a whole thing of floppy disks and recall playing Lode Runner and Mario bros.

>>The first website you visited

Lego.com on the one internet-connected library computer, sat there for my entire 15 minutes of internet times waiting for the thing to load.

>>Your 'clique' back then (pop-punk, mallgoth, numetal, wannabe gangster, stoner, just quiet kid)

first wannabe gangster, then numetal, then mallgoth, then punk.

>>Your first anime

Dragon ball Z, complete with ear-rape of the French theme song

>>27404954
>>your first porn/pornstar

didn't have porn/internet until 2002, but my first memories back then was of Liz Vicious

>>first anime/toon crusg

Bulma from Dragon ball, especially the manga.

Actually before that, Betty & Veronica from Archie.

I'm from Quebec and I think 99.99% of all our dubs came from France at least at that time.

I can't imagine what a proper Quebec dub would have been like.

I remember King of the Hill and The Simpsons being dubbed in Quebecer, as well as The Flinstones maybe? and it was just all awful lol

>3D pig disgusting, ie real flesh and bone women

oh, well that one girl who had absolutely nothing in common with me but I still thought was cute for some reason.

I miss 90s "PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT, FUCK BEING OFFENDED--BE XTREEEMM" edginess, that's for sure.

This emerging matriarchal nu-male femishit culture really blows ass. Women sand all the corners off everything they touch and make it the smooth bland ball of desaturated pink.

its realy just a copeing mechanism i realized this when i had nostalga for 2013 then i remembered that 2013 was the absolute worst year of my life, cought my brain red handed in its bullshit trying to add things to an ok memory that dident actually happen to make it look better. i have stopped having nostalga for anything since then although ive had better years ive allways been miserable. 90s probably werent as good as you remembered it, OP everyones childhood was better than their adulthood

When I was a child in the 90s I just watched a lot of music television. I think that's what I remember the most. I remember going outside and having fun, but my brain is just filled with the music videos I watched back then.

Also 80s-2000s were the "computers as computers" time period where they were a somewhat distinct and inaccessible device full of mysteries to solve. You needed to be dedicated and learn things to get stuff out of them and new stuff was a mystical treasure.

In the 80s and 90s, interacting with a computers was like being a thirsty man at a leaky faucet, sucking like a maniac at every drop.

Now it's a fucking firehose that's flooded your room and blows you away if you try to get your head around it.
>>
>>27406901
so true, it was also the time when teachers were the least equipped or trained to teach us that

I remember we got a proper computer lab full of Apple computers when I was in like grade 5 or 6, before that we had just one computer in the back of a random class that had windows 3.1 or something.

When I got to high school (which starts at grade 7 here) and we had a full computer lab AND the internet it was a fucking wild west man.

The only problem is that our teacher usually taught geography or some shit and had us learn how to type for like 7 semesters and thn how to use Microsoft Word for another 8 semesters.

Meanwhile one kid in the back was writing scripts and remotely accessing other students' computers to fuck around with them and the teacher sometimes as well, and another kid was playing that school shooting game on Newgrounds, etc.

Would've been nice to have learned something useful for living in the future like html an how the internet works, and basic coding even if it was mostly just MS Dos back in the day.

>>Your first CD
I bought Walking the Fallen by Avenged Sevenfold when I was in 8th grade. Well after the 90s.

Genesis. Sonic 3 or Sonic and Knuckles.

No idea what manner of PC and the games were educational kid stuff.

Not to mention that the older you get, the more memories get blurry and fade away.

I'm 30 and one of my earliest childhood memories is sitting on the floor playing with a big red semi-trailer truck. I could have been 4 years old, 7 years old, maybe even 8 or 9, etc.

The only way I can precisely recall the year of certain childhood memories is when they're tied to something like a TV show or video game or movie or major political/social event.

I remember the most impactful memories, for better or for worse, like the funniest/most fun parts of grade school or the worst one and there's dozens of both of those but I couldn't tell you what my fucking 3rd grade math teacher looked like and what his or her name was.

But I do have bad memories in the sense that they're awful memories that I've been trying to forget probably. I also don't do a lot of reminiscing except for these sorts of threads.

I think your mileage may vary. Where I live, Facebook was already a big thing in 2008 or so, and there was another popular social media site even before that. As to camera phones, most teenagers suddenly had one in early 2003 or 2004, although it didn't have a front camera (but again, this was probably different in your country/state/region).
