Hey bots. HS senior here. (Yes, over 18.) Just got accepted into my first choice college. Fulfilled all my grad requirements. When's the best time to check out of HS? Also, any tips for College? Things you wished you did/didn't do?
what college?
because i am curious
Dude, just fuck off. Get off 4chan, go have your normie life. Graduating HS and getting into your first choice means you are literally a normie.

I got a 2.2 GPA during senior year and freaked out because I thought my college was going to rescind the admission. Don't let your grades drop *that* much, I guess

Just because it was my first choice doesn't make it a good school
I knew I'd never get in to my real first choice (NYU) or be able to afford it even if i did, so I set my standards lower.

Then you didn't get into your first choice school you fucking faggot. Congrats, you're now getting a worthless degree from Trasheap State University.
Please kill yourself.

My first choice of school I actually applied to, I mean. I'll probably end up tranferig there at some point anyway.

My advice to you is to drop out of high school, purchase or obtain a gun, point the barrel into your eyes and pull the trigger. The world would be a better place without you.
>>27397450
You seem to be projecting a bit, anon. Something you need to get off your chest?
>>27397525
Duh? OP is having a good time in high school, and we're just supposed to bend over backwards and "give him advice". So I'm telling him what everybody else told me at that age.
>>27397567
>good time in HS
Now come on anon you know that isn't true
>>27397587
He fucking GRADUATED and GOT INTO A GOOD SCHOOL. He still has chances! He still has a few years left! He should just fuck off out of here. That really is the best thing for him. This place will only bring you down.

Sure man.
I wish I had:
>avoided romantic entanglements
NOTHING will make your motivation take a dive like a broken heart
>Chose a school closer to home, instead of being stuck alone in a big city
The loneliness is real. The isolation is real.
>>27398009
I doubt I'll ever get serious with a girl, but I'd at least like someone to have around while I'm out there. And I'm lucky enough to be able to go to school in a big city and be close to home
well you should take advice from me if you want a good time
>all throughout high school i was about those good grades
>pretty much a low class normie with a group of friends, didnt really talk to girls outside of class
>finally fced with the choice of what to become in the future
>go for mechanical engineer
>first year of college
>teacher literelly tells me I'm not going to make it
>tells me to dropout
>I follow my heart
>talking to my parents a few months later
>"I finished school, and I started my own buisness"
>they say " oh you graduated?"
>"no I decided I was finished"
>"chasin y'all dreams an what you had planned"
>"now I spit it so hot
>you got tan"

>TIPS
If you can't afford college go to community college first, specialized in something that can get you a job if you graduate. (In fact in my opinion anyone who doesn't get a free ride to a private college should go to Comm. College first.)
Public college have lots of bureaucracy, the college website is more helpful
Register for classes AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
Go to the department to help you plan out your classes and check the website. Ask if the syllabus is available. Take classes that you need not ones that just sound interesting
Usually the higher the level the harder the class is.
Look back on your k-12 career and anything you've done outside of that for insight on what major you should take up. If you need remedial math chances are you are not going to do well in extensive math based majors, and may have to take high level math courses above algebra twice or three times to pass them with an good grade.
Clubs are good for socialization, volunteering as well.

Ratemyprofessor is helpful, but read the review page carefully. Some professors make up reviews.

>If you can't afford college go to community college first,
Any tips for someone who's local community college found him out of state and is ineligible for financial aid?
>>27398602
I already know what I want to major in, and what I want to be as an adult. Filmmaking, if anyone's curious. Not the most practical or wise, probably, but I'm a dreamer, I guess.

You need to talk to them and provide documents that you are in-state.
If you have moved from state to state and only stayed for a few years, I don't know what to tell you other then to see the how many years is considered a permanent resident, and plan to gather money from scholarships, jobs and your parents.

What career do you want? Now is not the time to dream, materialize your ambitions into reality.

I applied to hunter, queens, and city college over a month ago and still haven't heard back. How long did you have to wait OP?
>>27398892
I want to go into filmmaking and acting. I'm already studying screenwriting/cinematography/the method and stuff outside of school, so I guess I'm already on the right track.
>>27398960
I got my letter the 14th. It was the first school I heard from, too, and haven't heard anything from anywhere else yet.
