It's better than most $500 laptops by a large margin.
For gaming though the 750m is a subpar card, even two of them is just merely okay. You might struggle with new games at 1080p without knocking down the settings a bit.
Yeah that's pretty good for a laptop, just change to win7 after a full reset to make sure his trash doesn't screw you up.
Or win10, still less of a buggy mess than 8.1.

the laptop ive used the past few years had windows 8.1 and now windows 10 and i still remember liking windows 7 better but im worried that going back to windows 7 will make any features not work?
like because this has an ultrabay and SLI and everything?

Windows 7 is easier to use and doesn't have all the tablet-friendly craps that you will never need.
Lenovo have drivers for windows 7 on their site so it is supported. The model should be the same. Everything works fine for me except the webcam is kinda crappy but you get what you pay for. I dont remember what I did but download all the drivers to a flashdrive before you install win 7.

Mine has a slightly better gfx card, but everything else is the same (cpu might be 2.6, idk), same chassis (which sucks btw, be careful with this laptop! mine's broken in all kinds of places and duct taped to shit)

But Windows 8 serial is embedded in the bios right? Does that cause any problems if I were to just dual boot Windows 7 on the SSD and then delete the Windows 8 install after I see everything works?

Make a backup flashdrive if you're scared. They have drivers for it so it should be supported.
