Currently 4chan has 22 million visitors per month.
So say in 2008 it had half that, 10 million. that means in sheer numbers 4chan had 1/10 the cultural impact Facebook did. That's not even considering the heeps of rare content 4chan users have stored and the insane amount of content we create.
