18 dollars an hour is 16 euros an hour which makes the monthly salary 2560 euros. Which is literally more than parlament members get in some EU countries.
The minimum wage here, in Lithuania, for example is 360 euros, but we're poor af, even taking a powerful and big country like france into consideration it's 1466 which is less than half of what you're insinuating.

Most of the average jobs are team works. If you can't communicate with your team mates or customers then productivity will suffer. Even if you work at a shitty place employers still expect to see you working eagerly. Nobody likes people who just try to pass the time somehow at work.

This. I used to work at an IT Call center as a help desk guy, and despite the fact that I consistently closed/fixed the most technical tickets on a daily basis and had high ratings from people calling in about their problems, I was extremely antisocial and didn't talk to my co-workers that much.
To be fair, they were all a bunch of soulless, boring cogs in the machine, absolutely devoid of any uniqueness or personality. Bunch of fucking normies that did nothing but talk about sports, whatever was trending in pop culture, etc.
After working there for 2 years and feeling the resentment from everyone around me slowly growing, I eventually just quit because I was sick of being treated like my work was second to my social performances.
My boss actually smiled when I quit, I think he had been planning to fire me anyways.joke's on them, I'm still enrolled in their 401k plan
