They're testing you. Women are all mentally ill basket cases who think they're entitled to sex and attention, so they "try you out" to see if you can "handle" them. This includes blatantly insulting you, because women are narcissistic psychopaths who can't feel legitimate sympathy. This whole idea of the "alpha male" is a guy who can deal with women's psychopathy. So she calls you a creep and then you're expected to somehow to make a comeback to show you're really a cool alpha who doesn't give a fuck.

Ok bud, strap in for an education. There are a couple of things that come of as 'creepy'. Don't do these things.

1 - Romantic persistence towards someone who isn't interested. It's not creepy to hit on someone. What IS creepy is continuing to hit on them when you've either not received a clear sign that they're into you, or you've made them uncomfortable. This is, imo, the most common.

2 - the 'friendzone' mindset of seeing people as just eventual sexual conquests, or intimate partners. Often this includes such behavior as "protecting" them from their other sexual options.

3 - inappropriate intimacy. Touching someone when they do not touch you in that way, or they are clearly uncomfortable with it. Intimacy naturally increases as relationships grow. The most important thing is that your level of intimacy should be mutual. If they never hug you - don't hug them.

Most of this is just learning how to read the reactions of the people around you. If you're perceived as creepy it's because your actions are inappropriate for the social context, and you make people uncomfortable. Simple as that.
