Anon is right but people don't want to see it. People desire validation and respect. They want to feel normal. But if they actually had a girlfriend they'd eventually go back to wanting to be alone.
Because relationships aren't the rosy dream that they fantasize about. It's a constant struggle to understand another person, keep up with them, and make them happy. Tell me, how long do you like being around someone? Do you have things to talk about when you see a person every day? Does it frustrate you when they want to do things you don't? How anxious do you get trying to please them or hurt hurt do you become when it doesn't work?
Most people who stay in relationships long term do it because of the social acceptance it gives them OR because they're very lucky or appear lucky in their relationship. A lot of luck, or contentment in relationships, is based on social ease and being good with people. Folks like us are not natural at relationships.
Everyone tortures themselves with thinking about how they don't have validation and respect. But maintaining those means fighting to keep it literally every day. It's pure stress unless you win the fucking lottery and just happen to meet someone you're perfect with.
